And we run the ball as much as we throw. :coffee:
What does that have to do with the # of receptions your receivers get?

Not much, but it sounded good at the moment. Btw, we are comparing a #1 vs #3 receiver.

In all honesty, they're just reactionary. Very few times do I instigate. I respect the program more than half of Griz nation.

And I think Henderson is a solid talent. But his numbers are similar to Bourne as a #3 last year and Shaquille Hill is certainly no slouch.
Yeah. Never mind EWU throws the ball over 100 times more per season than the Griz. :coffee:
That, and Henderson has played one full season, in a mediocre at best offense, in which he led the nation in YPC. :coffee:

Apples and oranges, but you knew that.

Not just about the money. Playing the PNW Pac-12 schools is important for the program in terms of exposure and recruiting as well.
Cool. We've nabbed some pretty good players from the PNW in recent years, despite not having played a PAC 12 school since 2005. thumb:
Just not the best ones, apparently. :coffee:

The thing is… EWU's quarterbacks have to be that good for the team to not suck.
Well, damn. Good thing none of them have sucked for a good while, then.

You over-extended your reach on that one. You gotta keep the trolls within the realms of reason, or else you snap us out of the illusion
Why? I think it's fairly obvious that Henderson is not better than Kupp...but please, let's hear your argument.

And from what I have seen, he's not better than Bourne, either. So yeah, I'd put him at #3 in the EWU offense.

And still ran for more yards per game than Montana did in 2014. Ouch.

I don't think there's a big enough sample size with Henderson to fairly say that one way or the other. Luckily he should have two full seasons left in a pass-happy offense to prove himself to the haters/foolz. :thumb:

He isn't better than Kupp. Kupp is the best receiver in FCS. He is better than Bourne and Hill though.

As for "my argument"...

From what I've seen, he's better than Bourne, so yeah, I'd put him at #2 in the EWU offense. Good enough for you? I wanted to be as objective as you in your post.

Seriously though, just think about the damage Henderson would do in the EWU offense :coffee:

Just look at this poor schmuck who wouldn't even crack the practice squad at EWU.

Well, if what I've been reading about the new Stitt offense is true, Ellis should have plenty of opportunity to show his stuff.

Hey, how's that Vernon Adams doing these days?

I heard he was able to count to three, so they let him graduate from EWU. :thumb:

I harbor no illusions that Stitt's offense is going to be as potent as EWU during season #1

Agreed. I wish we were playing NDSU in late October instead of August.

If we meet up with NDSU in the playoffs, watch out! The Griz hopefully will be a machine when the playoffs roll around.

Who is the presumptive starter at QB, or is it too early to tell?

Honestly, if we could manage 35 ppg in Delaney's stone age offense (to EWU's 44), I don't see why we couldn't do 9 ppg better with Stitt's offense, even if there are wrinkles to iron out early on.

Wait, what was "stone age" about the offense the last two years? It wasn't really any different stylistically than the multiple-type offenses currently used by most NFL teams. :?

Anyway, the Griz should score more simply through the virtue of running a lot more plays. Montana scored 30 ppg last year averaging 63.8 offensive plays-per-game. CO Mines averaged 89.9 plays-per-game last season, so—if the Griz manage the same pace—that would translate to 41.7 ppg with zero improvement in offensive efficiency whatsoever. Of course, that would likely translate to more points allowed too, but still…
