You have no proof so, don't be an ass.

Brock and Company have targeted Ernst as their new Palin.
Dback's just being a good, mindless, douche-operative and "Doin' what he's told."

Everyone gets a handout, don't get caught up on what that Robot said on TV. The issue, with me, is that Democrats and Republicans always think their (including the party as whole) shit don't stink. Well, it does. It's stank.dbackjon wrote:travelinman67 wrote:

She goes on national TV decrying Federal Handouts. GOP is so brain-dead they fail to figure out this would be the story.

Its already been clearly established that:
As the auditor she was funneling contracts into her fathers company and away from his competition

She's a Politician people
The more time you spend defending her the dumber you'll end up looking
I know this: Because I defended Obama 6 years ago - It never works out

You may be right on the 2nd part about her being a politician and not worth defending but I will on the construction contract issue with her father. The issue about the contracts is a falsehood repeated by the left prior to the election.

Yes, because you read something on the internet so it has to be true.Chizzang wrote:HI54UNI wrote:

Its seems to be pretty well documented...
and pretty well swept under the rug

and this entire thread just goes to prove the already observed phenomenon of...
"This does not conform to my preconceived notions - thus - it cannot be true"

Don't you like to talk about critical thinking skills?

Under Iowa law the county auditor has no power to award a contract. Only the county board of supervisors can award a contract. The board of supervisors followed the law and directed that a notice for bids be advertised, sealed bids were submitted, bids were opened at a public meeting, and the supervisors awarded the contract. The auditor has no vote. The only duty the auditor had in all this was publishing the notice as directed by the board of supervisors, recording the minutes of the meeting, and paying the bill when it comes. In addition Iowa law has a specific exemption for projects that are competitively bid. So even if she did have a vote, which she didn't, it would still be legal because the competitive bid process was followed.
The state auditor's office audits the county's books every year and found no evidence of wrong doing. Even our partisan Democrat state attorney general wouldn't touch these allegations last fall because he knew there wasn't anything there.

Sh'e a perfect model citizen - I stand corrected - and god bless America

I've never said she was a model citizen. If you want to talk about some of the crazy shit she's said about things like agenda 21 have at it. I just don't want people repeating stories about corruption that are untrue. I don't want people to think we're like Illinois.

Here's another one.Chizzang wrote:HI54UNI wrote:

I like Republicans therefor all Republicans are good
I dislike Democrats therefor all Democrats are bad
We've got a lot of that around here

Note - I didn't say a peep about the contract - I saw the accusations, but also saw that it would be highly unlikely she would be able to influence the decision, so I left that part outHI54UNI wrote:Chizzang wrote:

dback post alot of outrageous headlines with little or zero factual support in the article, therefore a simple Yahoo News search can quickly refute it.

I know dback. I wasn't calling you out on that.dbackjon wrote:Note - I didn't say a peep about the contract - I saw the accusations, but also saw that it would be highly unlikely she would be able to influence the decision, so I left that part outHI54UNI wrote:
