I was told he was interested until the Missoulian spilled the beans and he then backed off.

Sounds like he will be making bigger bucks soon. Good for him.

Not saying we won't take a step back, but probably not as much of one as you think. We generally don't replace entire coaching staffs when there's a change made at HC. Baldwin was Wulff's OC. High probability that an internal hire is made if Baldwin leaves. Entirely different situation than Pflugrad, etc.

Baldwin deserves all the credit in the world for what he's accomplished. But he will be the first to tell you that he had a solid base to work with.

No one said it would be a seamless transition; even Baldwin's first year was 6-5. But to insinuate that if Baldwin left EWU would become a perennial .500 team or worse is fucking laughable.
