To be fair (and I'm pretty indifferent about McCain), graduating last at the Naval Academy is still tougher than graduating first at a ton of schools. I try to judge people based on the individual, but in a vacuum without any other facts, I'd be more impressed with an Annapolis degree than any of the Ivies.houndawg wrote:The years of daily beatings scrambled the brains that allowed him to graduate dead last in his class at Annapolis....

Agreed but would also argue that while you can never be sure, Romney would probably have been a better choice in 2011/2012.SDHornet wrote:We would be in about 20 wars right now if it were up to him.DSUrocks07 wrote: McCain would be the absolute worst person to deal with this right now.

Agreed. And of course in McCain's case it didn't hurt to be the son of an admiral...∞∞∞ wrote:To be fair (and I'm pretty indifferent about McCain), graduating last at the Naval Academy is still tougher than graduating first at a ton of schools. Obama is not getting us into any wars, and I am okay with that. If Ukraine is that big of a deal, let our European "allies" handle it. We can back them up if it makes the war hawks happy, but I don't think we should be leading here.![]()
Funny to see folks bitch about how USA shouldn't play Cap't Savahoe yet bitch about Obama not "doing enough". Can't have it both ways, and wanting USA to keep out of these issues means there will be other players stepping up (for better or worse) to fill the vacuum.
