Kalm, with your limited understanding of government, please provide a link to a source which explains why you should be allowed to waste other poster's time with parrot-like, prepubescent, "But, why?" nonsense?

"Modern American entrepreneurial progressives"????
kalm, I'm not talking about the exception to the rule or the oddball fringe. I'm talking about the ideological core. Both believe in big government control ruled by a powerful executive who renders the liberty of the individual and individual rights and liberties subservient to the collective. To the opposite, the sanctity of the individual is a core tenant of capitalism. Centralized control of markets, extensive government regulation, cronyism...payola, etc. To progressives, capitalism is just a tool to be used to give favorable treatment to certain industries in order to induce social, political and economic change.

There is no need to make a big laundry list of comparisons, because even you won't admit it, you know they are there. Even your Gods of progressivism...Wilson, Roosevelt (both of them) were huge fans of Fascist philosophies.

Please, put your stupid little emoticons away. No matter how much you try, they aren't going to save you in this argument.

Said the king of pot shots.

Care to expand on Baldy's point that progressive minded Silicon Valley entrepreneurs are fascists?

Perhaps you can speak to how Roosevelt's policies led to fascism?

You can do it, champ!

A few weeks ago I was visited in my office by the chairman of one of the country's biggest high-tech firms who wanted to talk about the causes and consequences of widening inequality and the shrinking middle class, and what to do about it.
A couple of false premises implied here. There is no general trend towards a "shrinking" middle class and "wealth inequality" does not have to mean the the "middle class," however that is reasonably defined, has less buying power.
Well, I believe that I must tell the truth
And say things as they really are
But if I told the truth and nothing but the truth
Could I ever be a star?

But it does currently mean just that.
