There were 2 in Charleston and then 1 in Dorchester County. Dorchester County is the epitome of nut job. I hear you. The TP in SC, Northern VA, etc.. are different. Of course. That's why I used those words MY EXPERIENCE. But what does that say about the group when you can't go from one to another and it not be somewhat consistent. Shouldn't the platform be common across State and Local groups?
That's why a libertarian like Rand Paul and a nut like Rick Joyner are both considered "Tea Party" even though they have little to nothing in common, and their supporters DO NOT consider themselves as a part of the same group.
Even you mentioned Cruz, Bachman and Palin, but you said nothing about Rand Paul, and yet how many times do we hear the words "tea party favorite" when we hear about Rand Paul in the news? That's because he is supported by libertarian parties that have been labeled Tea Party by the media and nobody else.
I just left Paul out. I don't mind Paul fiscally.
