That is the way things were done before the big gas crises a few years ago and they(?) decided to pair teams according to location. By always pairing the Southland and Big Sky conference, for example, as they do each year, usually two good teams must face each other in the first round, while two comparably mediocre teams get an easier draw. It is not a true playoff pairing as exists in most other playoff sports such as basketball's March madness and baseball's World Series. Anyone know why?
Welcome! Im BlackFalkin and Im something like King here.. but You answered your own question there Chief. In the playoffs their are CONSIDERABLY more ppl on that plane.. Like the AD, the SID, the coaches wives, etc.. So it -COULD- be that, coupled with some schools lack of a budget.. Like Coastal Carolina flying 130 people to Spokane... they can bus or take ac cheaper flight to Towson or Maine.
