In something that is news to us, apparently God hates the NBA. This seems pretty far-fetched, because in spite of a recent spate of injuries, some sort of Almighty Power has bestowed us with a fantastically entertaining postseason thus far, and a wonderfully sunny spring day for me to sit under while I write about the NBA all day.
According to a press release from the Westboro Baptist Church, though, God does hate the NBA.
And here I thought it was just me that hated the NBA.

Re: God hates the NBA
If God doesn't hate the NBA, he should. And not because a NBA player declared that he is a homosexual. It's because it is awful to watch. I know that it's got a lot of fans. I know that it's big bucks.
The mystery to me is: Why? Why does anybody like to watch that crap?
But then I think the same thing about people watching golf on TV. In fact that's even worse. Wouldn't it be more exiting to go out and watch your trees bud out?

Well, I believe that I must tell the truth
And say things as they really are
But if I told the truth and nothing but the truth
Could I ever be a star?

Why do people watch fishing or hunting shows on TV? It's an over-matched opponent every time. It's like people comparing the size of their dick. Hey, my fish was bigger than yours, my buck was bigger than yours type stuff. At least watching the NBA, you are watching a sport.JohnStOnge wrote:If God doesn't hate the NBA, he should. Because sometimes they see things they didn't know about already that THEY can use when they fish and/or hunt. Not often, mind you. But sometimes. Why do people watch fishing or hunting shows on TV?
I don't watch them much. And I think that most of the time they're just trying to sell lures, rods, reels, and other things. But I think that's the idea.
