Yes.AZGrizFan wrote: Is one somehow worse than the other?

I disagree. Guilt causes irreparable harm by making Whites do things they normally wouldn't (and in many cases shouldn't) do and make decisions and create programs they otherwise wouldn't create...see the entire entitlement mentality complex our country is struggling from as just one small example...Skjellyfetti wrote:Yes.AZGrizFan wrote: Is one somehow worse than the other?
Want me to list all the atrocities committed with racism or belief if a "pure race" as a motivating factor? And then maybe you can list all the atrocities committed where "guilt" was a motivating factor. Guilt doesn't cause harm. Racism does.

You must indoctrinate our youth with your pinko, leftist, Mao the pedophile little red book worshipping, mummified Lenin schmeckle nuzziling FAILURE of a worldview in the Omaha, Nebraska school system which spent like 50k taxpayer dollars for a whole program on that pc doublespeak bullshit.BigSkyBears wrote:No, but he probably does understand White Privilege.JohnStOnge wrote:Cap, do you have some kind of "White Guilt" complex?

And you think an "entitlement mentality" is as bad as genocide, Jim Crow, terrorism, etc?AZGrizFan wrote:

No, I think it's morphed into that as white guilt reared its head and we became a more politically correct society. There wasn't much white guilt in 1945 but there sure as fuck is now. You also think that "white guilt" led FDR to create social security, unemployment, AFDC?Interesting.

Interesting way to phrase it. We've become a more "political correct" society since 1945. Are these all a result of white guilt? Is that what you're implying?Skjellyfetti wrote:Let's look at some of the major developments in race relations since 1945.
1948- desegregation of the military begins
1952- Brown v. Board decision
1955- Rosa Parks refuses to give up her seat. Montgomery bus boycotts begin.
1957- federal troops sent to Arkansas to force school to allow blacks to enter
1960- sit-in at Woolrich lunch counter in Greensboro, NC
1961- "freedom riders"
1962- first black student enrolls at Ole Miss. Riots ensue.
1963- Martin Luther King's "Letter From Birmingham Jail", Medgar Evers murdered, King's "I Have A Dream" speech, 4 girls blown up in bomb planted at black Birmingham church
1964- 24th amendment-- poll tax abolished, Civil Rights Act,
1965- March from Selma to Montgomery-- "Bloody Sunday", Voting Rights Act
1967- Supreme Court rules laws against interracial marriage are unconstitutional
1968- Civil Rights Act, King murdered
1988- Civil Rights Restoration Act
1991- Civil Rights Act of 1991, signed by HW Bush
You can view that as a gradual progression toward a more "politically correct" society if you wish. What of those steps do you disagree with? All of it?

You've said we've become a more "politically correct" society since 1945. That's when the civil rights movement started... a generation of soldiers came back from fighting a brutal war for their country... and thought they deserved to be treated as equal citizens. We've been on a gradual movement towards a more egalitarian society since 1945. I figured the whole "civil rights movement" would have been a part of your opinion that we've become more politically correct and white guilt has become pervasive since 1945.
Yeah, institutional racism is no longer tolerated. But, that doesn't mean we're a politically correct society.
Oh yeah, Spiderman now has brown skin so you may have a point.![]()

I disagree with some of the requirements of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. I think that people have a right to dsicriminate on the basis of anything they want to discriminate on. Not talking about government. If you say government must not discriminate on the basis of race or anything else that's fine.1964- 24th amendment-- poll tax abolished, Civil Rights Act,

But whey you say that someone who owns a business can't associate with or not associate with anyone he or she chooses to associate with or not associate with on any basis they want...including race...you are going too far. You are denying liberty. Same with hiring. A private business should be free to hire, not hire, or fire anyone it chooses to hire, not hire, or fire for any reason at all without government
interference.
No one has a legitimate right to make anyone else like them, accept them, respect them, or deal with them. Who you like, accept, respect, or deal with should be completely up to you.
