During the start of WWII, the French had 3x as many tanks than the Germans. However, the French did not use them in mass as the Germans. The French used their tanks as support for ground troops.

Oh yeah. I've read some stories and seen interviews of the T-34 at the Battle of Prochorovka (and Kursk). To think, T-34 commanders were trained to specifically fight and exploit the weaknesses (thin armour on the sides) in the Panzer. The Soviets ability to move production as well as they did was an incredible feat that allowed them to churn out weaponry that really saved the day.

I assume that too, but how would the world have ended up if we defeated the communists, militarily? What events wouldn't have happened (Bay of Pigs, Star Wars, etc...)?
