The top 20 countries with the highest personal incomes tax all are in Europe. Belgium-Germany-France are the highest with 50% or higher. But all those countries have considerably lower corporate tax rates compared to the US.
Not when you count the exemptions US companies get...

Belgium-Germany-France also all have longer life expectancy than the US. :coffee:

I wouldn't mind paying more in taxes if I got more in return. But from my standpoint, the federal govt is just a big pain in my ass. They send my friends kids, spouses, fathers, and mothers off to fight stupid wars, they spend mega bucks keeping stupid genetically inferior people alive and well fed so that they can breed even more knuckle dragging morons, they pass regulations that accomplish little other than creating another layer of red tape while not addressing the issue that the regulation was spoked to be aimed at, meanwhile, our infrastructure is collapsing, our schools are all but useless, the environment is slowly dying, healthcare is a disaster, our culture is becoming this weird mix of redneck/hip hop/reality star/celebritard/cruddy miasma that is kinda scummy and unpleasant to look at. We are definitely devolving as a species at the base level. All of our efforts seem to be solely directed at the comfort, pleasure, and entertainment of the moment. There are no really great efforts out there that are inspiring and pushing our species forward into the next level of being. Instead, our great achievements are thinner phones, faster computers that can run better games, md other esoteric bullshit like that.

Pretty sure Danefan debunked your idea here. The difference in compliance costs wasn't enough to catch up to the lower effective rate American companies pay.
