Conks, Mexican or Asian, You All Look the Same To Us

Post by polsongrizz »

These useless fucks at the RNC want to kick everyone of these people out of the country, but they know that won't happen so they also want their vote. Problem is they can't tell one ethnic group from another...

The Latino vote is a much sought-after prize in this year's presidential election, However, a keen pair of eyes discovered a gaffe on one such Republican site: the top banner featured a group of children that weren't Latino -- but Asian.

RNClatinos.com's mix-up was discovered by US News and World Report when a reporter there realized the stock photo, downloaded from Shutterstock, included search terms such as "asia," "asian," "interracial," "Japanese" and "Thailand" -- a strong sign the children in the photo aren't Hispanic.

The site is run by the Republican National Committee, which launched it to "have open communication about the goals and vision of the Republican Party" with Latino voters, according to a message posted to the site by Sharon Day, vice chairman of the RNC.

Don’t worry, with Obama’s immigration announcement today the Repubs will have to come up with some sort of plan to woo our votes. 8-)

Surely immigration policy isn't the only thing Hispanics value in a president. :coffee:

Of course it is. Donks love to categorize people into little pigeonholes.

Not for me personally but it is a huge issue for us Hispanics as a whole. Neither candidate will present a comprehensive plan for addressing the immigration issue, so Obama is coming out and saying he is keeping the status quo. No shock to me as it is the easiest thing to do. Plus the cheap labor will be a huge need for employers (see agribusiness and construction industries) if the economy is ever going to get back on track.

Not much difference between Dems and Repubs on tax and spend. It just goes into different pockets depending on who is in charge. :coffee:

Obama is having to pull out all the stops it seems. He's making a huge appeal to Hispanic voters with this policy, he was forced to take a position on gay marriage after Biden stepped on his own dick and forced the WH to address the issue, and he's busy hitting the Hollywood types for major fundraising. Appealing to a crowd that can afford $40,000/plate meals doesn't exactly put him in touch with his beloved middle class :ohno: Romney is no better by the way.

I agree. Obama took the position that betters his chances at retaining office. I’ll be interested to see what Romeny’s approach on immigration will be to counter this. No matter what it is it won’t be more appealing than the status quo position Obama has claimed.

If the US economic, foreclosure, and unemployment picture continue to degrade as they have been while Obama claims that "the private sector is fine" then Mexico might seem like a better option anyway. :twocents:

You're right, the Donks don't give farm subsidies whatsoever.
And those tax breaks ONLY go to large businesses.
And it's much better to have unchecked spending and handouts for failures like Solyndra and Fisker than the military.

Of course they do, but a large percentage of the recipients vote Republican.

Some Latinos and Asians are easily confused with each other. There are a couple of Latina girls in porn who often do Asian-themed movies. I'm sure Cap'n will agree.

Absolutely nailed it. I like the conk meme about poor people and unions voting for more government - which is true to a certain extent.

If everyone voted strictly out of self interest, the Republican party would have about the same percentage of support that the Socialist Workers Party currently gets.
