I don't think they are lazy at all. But they are hypocrites & just as selfish as the ultra-rich. They scream for the ultra-rich to pay a higher percentage of income tax while at the same time bemoan their ability to pay ANY income tax at all.

bear in mind that this bottom 50% pays a much higher percentage of their income in sales taxes and use fees. they also feel the bite of property taxes more acutely as well. (while the wealthy have more, and more expensive property, usually a much lower percentage of their personal wealth is tied up in it)

it's a rather large red herring to suggest that the bottom 50% of income earners in this country skate by paying no taxes. they are the butt end of at least half a dozen regressive tax schemes.

also bear in mind that this bottom 50% receive just about all of the monies set aside for social welfare programs. So paying associated user fees is the VERY LEAST they can do to offset the burden of their existence in this society...

Yeah, or what percentage of our government spending is earmarked for these dregs of society? It has got to be miniscule and that being the case, why are the conks so pissed about it? There are so many bigger fish to fry than food stamps and quite frankly, in the long run, it's cheaper to toss a few bread crumbs their way than to clean up after riots or incarcerate them.

No, I don't think ALL of them are lazy. And that's not the point IMO. It's our tax code that enables those folks to not pay any taxes through no fault of their own. What I do have a problem with is them bitching about others not paying their fair share, hence the hypocrisy of their argument. Well, that obviously makes it ok since it's a small percentage of the budget. Let them eat cake. So, as long as they only get their cumbucket girlfriends a "little bit pregnant" with another illegitimate child to suckle from the government teet, it's ok.
