The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation paid for another tribute, how sweet. His legacy is getting better all the time and besides, the Brits need the money. :coffee:

It's called the Reagan Memorial Fund Trust, and the statue is in Grosvenor Square, a public area (requiring approval by the British gummint). Since the trust commissioned the statue, not only is your claim that the Brits need the money pure hyperbole, it is also not accurate. (No surprises there.)

There's going to be a piece of the Berlin Wall at the foot of the statue, as well! Whaddaya know?

Don't despair though... they'll cheapen it soon enough by erecting a statue of your boy Barry, holding his Nobel Peace Prize. Probably some time before he leaves office.

I think it's funny how an alternative view on events, based on facts, is "revisonist"

And the British accent isn't intelligent sounding.

Anyone remember the "Democrats for Reagan"?

Regardless of what people think of him, he had more bipartisan support than any President since. (Except for Bush II going into the Iraq War.)

Fritz was a sack of crap even though he is a Citadel grad. When he left the governor's mansion in Columbia, the moving vans loaded all of the furnishings (state property) and moved them to Fritz's Charleston home. The state police had to go to his house to retrieve all of the stolen property.

And I find it equally funny that the gipper is such a sacred cow for you and Cid1990. I also find it funny that Reagan's record of raising taxes 11 times in office, massively growing our debt, and providing amnesty to illegal aliens would find him not even making it out of the republican primary today.

Not a sacred cow at all. I just like the rise a Reagan thread gets out of kneejerk donks like you.

You weren't even perceptive enough to catch the double jab a few posts above this one. That was disappointing. Almost as disappointing that I was trolling for the big Kahuna and just caught a minnow.

Bullshit. You started the thread and I was less serious.

Do you really think I wasn't aware of the troll? You know very well that Reagan is to me what Abe is to citdog. I grabbed it and spit it out before you even thought to raise the tip.
