Well, they aren't playing an FBS team, so obviously they won't be prepared for the playoffs... if they get there.

Very true. But will West Chester prepare them better than Western State?JMU DJ wrote:dbackjon wrote:

WTF does distance have with SOS...which is the discussion vis-à-vis Delaware...Screamin_Eagle174 wrote:+1dbackjon wrote: All of those are closer to Newark than NAU's closest game...pffft
Big whoop. I'd say a good 75 to 80 percent of FCS schools reside within a 600-700 mile radius from Newark. Not even all of the BSC schools reside within 700 miles of a each other. Hell, there's maybe 10 schools period within a 600-700 mile radius of any school in the BSC.93henfan wrote:
OK, you traveled to one SoCon for a regular season game. That's a start. Delaware has traveled to The Citadel, Georgia Southern, and Furman in the regular season in the past decade. Going back a bit farther, Delaware traveled to Western KY (as a I-AA) and Youngstown St. It's not like we're particularly afraid to play anyone, if it makes financial sense.

West Chester is off the schedule effective 2012 and Delaware State (also FCS) is on. DSU will also be home-home-home. If you draw 20,000 plus every game you don't need to travel west of the Mississippi.93henfan wrote:dbackjon wrote:So Hen fans - would you trade your West Chester game, which doesn't count, except for money, for a home and home against a good FCS team?

I know DelState is confirmed on, but where did you see it confirmed that West Chester is confirmed off after 2011? I know K.C. has stated a preference to get them off the schedule, and having a D-II is obviously a liability in terms of getting seven D-I wins when you face the CAA meat grinder every year, but I haven't seen anything in writing saying we absolutely aren't extending the WCUPA series. Here's hoping we don't.jd of de wrote:West Chester is off the schedule effective 2012 and Delaware State (also FCS) is on. DSU will also be home-home-home. The News Journal has reported several times the West Chester contract expires after the 2011 game and Muir confirmed they are not renewing.93henfan wrote:I know DelState is confirmed on, but where did you see it confirmed that West Chester is confirmed off after 2011? 1. SDSU is no cupcake.dbackjon wrote:Not an exciting home schedule other than SDSU and Nova
three home ooc. Weak.

Just as much as traveling west to play cream-puff NAU would.dbackjon wrote:Recently, App State.93henfan wrote:
Serious question: Other than FBS payoff games, how many OOC's east of the Mississippi has NAU scheduled before?
PS: I'm so glad Delaware doesn't have to whore ourselves out like that.

I guess that is good for the Hens, but I still don't see why W&M's schedule is relevant on a thread about UD's schedule. Maybe we should compare every teams schedule to Delaware's.mainejeff wrote:Ummm.......because W&M would be playing 3 games in NE while Delaware only plays 1????BlueHen86 wrote:
I don't know, but what does that have to do with Delaware's schedule?
And thanks to the away game with Rhode Island being moved to Newark, no boat rides either!Tribe4SF wrote:Delaware made out like bandits with the CAA schedule. No flights involved...

I don't think Montana is playing any games in the NE this year, I'm sure there are others too.

Get your own schedule thread.Tribe4SF wrote:Having trouble playing well with others, I see.BlueHen86 wrote:

Go sit in the corner.

It's not out of the question that when the season ends, Delaware will have played 5 or maybe even 6 playoff teams. Delaware does not need to upgrade it's OOC schedule.SUUTbird wrote:Just pointing this out maybe its about time another team besides Montana got called out for scheduling weak teams? Especially since it appears alot of you CAA guys always jump on that bandwagon. SDSU i would say is a good game since i think the Jacks will do good things this season. But West Chest and Duquesne are both very weak teams

Sourpuss. We won more Ivy titles in the aughts than the Penn State Coal/Nose Miners did.93henfan wrote:http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/r ... 0911140131Ivytalk wrote:I have the Duquesne game circled on my calendar. This will be a bunch of "Dukes" that UD can actually beat!

As for UD's schedule, OOC-wise it's not strong - very good game with SDSU (wish everyone could've stayed with the 3 game series but that's life) and then two patsies. In conference, well, it's the CAA, it's a very tough schedule. Certainly caught a break getting to play URI and Towson while avoiding UNH. As others have said, if this isn't a playoff schedule this year, especially with the host of talent UD is returning, there'll be a new coach in Newark after the season.

I'll bet you do. UNI scheduling Iowa is equivalent to you sucking dicks for smack.D1B wrote:93henfan wrote:9/4 - WEST CHESTER

Classic Montana pussy schedule. I wish UNI didn't "need the money".

Exactly, I will never fault a CAA team for throttling it back on the OOC due to the strength of that conference. Montana, on the other hand, are just plain pussies.
Call this out. 2009 UD schedule included 3 of the 8 FCS playoff teams and the 2010 schedule includes 4 of this years 8 playoff teams. Weak schedule my ass. Name me another team that has 4 of last years playoff teams scheduled. BUZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ. Richmond is the only other one.SUUTbird wrote:Just pointing this out maybe its about time another team besides Montana got called out for scheduling weak teams?
