If Tiger Woods beat me by one shot by sinking a 40 footer on 18....
Your point?
UNH gave up 42 to 1-8 Rhode Island
Richmond only beat 2-7 VMI by 10 (and gave up 28 in the process)
Villanova beat that powerhouse known as Penn by 14-3.
Yet none of these teams were dropped in the polls---and there's only one logical reason: ECB.

Point is Richmond didn't beat Towson on a last minute FG. It was 42-12.
Richmond was up 31-14 on VMI and completely dominated the game. Villanova-Penn is historically close and low scoring. My post on AGS on predicting a close score... "It's often even closer than that when it shouldn't be. Last year 20-14 with a very lopsided match-up on paper. 4 of the last 5 games were one score. I would have put it a larger margin if it weren't for the history."
UNH? Eh, I'm not sold on them anyway.
But hey, I can understand you only looking at final scores being a Big Sky fan and all.

Almost 500 yards of offense is what every team has done against ISU. 4 fumbles, including one inside the 5 and missing extra points is a recipe to lose against an 0-9 team 12 penalties, including one that negated a TD.....Griz had a bad game.

Not that far fetched, but I'm not sure what Elon has done to be #2. No wins over current ranked teams and an OOC that was a loss to Wake and wins over Davidson and Presby. IF they beat App, I can see them being #2.
I had Elon preseason #7, and they just kept sneaking up. It was tough to move them up to #2, but the way their D is playing its tough for me to say there are many teams better than them, plus being undefeated in FCS and no "bad wins"...

Interesting. Montana/Idaho is historically a close game as well. In fact since 2001 the spread has been 4, 4, -3, 2, 22, 13, 13, 19. I guess it's all good, then?

Not that I'm siding with Mr. ECB, but EWU had 3 fumbles lost to ISU earlier this year, one on the ISU 12 yard line. EWU won the game 38-3.

I had Montana at #2 and moved them up to #1. I tend not to ding teams for close conference wins because teams tend to play their best when playing the top team in their conference.

It will probably be difficult for MAQA yahoos to overcome the Qult programming but they should give being rational & reasonable a try.

It probably should be noted that Motana moved up one in my ballot this week too.

They liked the 38 in that game but didn't care too much for it in the game you lost to us though right? How would you explain us barely getting by ISU and you guys dominating them and yet still losing to us? In other words turnovers were a part of it but not the story. You saw the game and know that already so what is the point about the turnovers exactly?

Watching the ISU game was almost surreal. I kept saying the whole time in my head, "they are going to pull this one away anytime now". But so many times, the Griz would drive the length of the field, only to stall a drive with a penalty, or a turnover.
I would have to say with you winning 38-3, you obviously didn't kill as many drives as the Griz.

That EWU's defense stopped them for the most part and gave us more opportunities to score. Montana's defense didn't.
