SIU has a zero in the FCS loss column, with the only loss being FBS Marshall. SIU went into UNI and SDSU and won on the road. Montana is my #2.

No, Butler is 9-0. :coffee:

Certainly not saying that merits them the #1 spot.
But SIU's only loss was a three-point loss to an FBS team (not a particularly GOOD FBS team, but still).

So if I was voting (which I'm not), I'd have SIU as my #1.
Not a particularly bad team either. Marshall is 5-4 and 3-2 in Conference USA.

The way I evaluated Montana -- Did ISU dominate the game to make it that close - therefore questioning the quality of the team?? No. The Griz shot themselves in the foot all day with fumbles (3 while the players were not even touched) and fumble on the 1 yard line and a TON of penalties.... therefore

1. Villanova
2. SIU
3. Montana
4. Elon
5. Richmond
6. W&M

Salukis had better hope that EWU doesn't make the play-offs.

1- Southern Illinois
2- Villanova
3- Montana
4- Richmond
5- Elon

SIU gets a very impressive road win to claim my #1 spot.

I would put SIU number 1 after they beat SDU.
1. SIU
2. Montana
3. Villanova
4. Richmond
5. App st
6. Elon

Can't put Elon up there until they prove to me they are deserving unfortunately for them they will lose against what I believe is the best team in the country right now App st. As long as they have Edwards they can beat anybody. But I will say this, those east coasters that doubt Montana, that's fine keep doubting them and underestimating them, that is fine by me, if they get on a roll they can beat anybody in the country, but keep thinking that we suck so we can shove it down your throats later.

Allow me to do a 180 for a minute:

If Richmond beat Towson by 2 points on a last second field goal, CAA apologists would be touting that as "proof of the depth of the conference".

I appreciate your confidence, Homer, but it's tough to put a 2 loss team in the top 3. :twocents:

Not that far fetched, but I'm not sure what Elon has done to be #2. No wins over current ranked teams and an OOC that was a loss to Wake and wins over Davidson and Presby. IF they beat App, I can see them being #2.
