Maine's Turcotte has surgery

Post by mainejeff »

And this is how clueless the head coach is............

Turcotte, a sophomore from Lewiston, underwent surgery on Monday to repair a groin injury. The timetable for his recovery is unclear, said Maine Coach Jack Cosgrove, who on Tuesday still had not spoken to team doctors to discuss the prognosis.

The news comes amid Maine's preparations to face Syracuse of the Big East Conference on Saturday.

"How serious it was, what happens now? That's the great unknown," said Cosgrove

Hope he bounces back for you guys. Turcotte impressed the hell out of me agianst us last season in Kingston. Great player with a bright future.

Serious but off topic question...

Is Jared Turcotte related in any way to Ron Turcotte?

Ron Turcotte is one of the greatest jockeys of all time and is a native of Maine's neighbor, New Brunswick, Canada. I wouldn't think Turcotte is a very common name. Just curious :?:
