Kind of like how radical Christofascist nationalist extremism is at war with freedom and the US Constitution.

Re: Culture Wars
Then how can something trump made up be Americans' greatest enemy? The Democratic Party is left and incompetent but they're hardly radical, certainly less radical than MAQA.

Of course you’d rather him intentionally use incorrect English (referring to a boy as a girl, and vice versa, and using plural pronouns for individuals. That would really ‘learn them’.kalm wrote: ↑Sun Mar 22, 2026 1:54 pmYay! I get to antagonize the kids I teach based on my politics. I’m an educator. I forgot to add that you're a raging hypocrite if you say/post incendiary sh!t like this and then complain about the other side inciting violence.
Show some class and lead by example if you want to tone down the rhetoric.

Re: Culture Wars
So has MAQA so the childish "they did it first" argument doesn't work.
And the right has been guilty of more political violence this century than the left so it looks like you're justifying the increase in leftist violence since trump was reelected. After all, it's just "tit for tat".
Or we could take stand against all political violence incendiary rhetoric rather than lamely attempting to justify/defend violence/rhetoric by the side you agree with.

Still in today's political environment, jihadist is neither left nor right. It's very much outside of the US political spectrum.

Ganny is right - "jihadist is neither left nor right. It's very much outside of the US political spectrum."
Jihadists are interesting - they're more likely to be defended by the left but ideologically/philosophically they have more in common with the right (subservient roles for women, belief in the righteousness of their religion and willingness to force it on others).
Regardless, even if you add the left and jihadists together they're less than or equal to the rightists when it comes to political violence until 2025 when rightist violence dropped significantly (I wonder why and I wonder what the numbers would look like if ICE/CBP violence was included with the rightists in 2025).

Re: Culture Wars
Leave your wet dreams out of this.
Where am I wrong?
There is plenty of evidence of Christofascist attempts to push their religion on others - requiring the display of the 10 Commandments in classrooms, requiring the bible be incorporated into school curriculums, etc.
And as far as pushing for a return to subservient roles for women, the Fascist Heritage Foundation carries the water for me ...
The Heritage Foundation’s New Policy Guidebook Wants to Push Women Out of Public Life
I have no problem with women voluntarily choosing this life but telling them they should and/or making it policy is an American Taliban version of woke. But despite its focus on the hated welfare state and alternative family structures, “Saving America”’s underlying bugaboo is panic over the low domestic birth rate and the fact that people in the U.S. are having fewer and fewer babies.
And who is to blame for this dastardly development? You guessed it: a pervasive female focus on “career and financial independence over family and marriage.” Indeed, instead of a shared marital life of “duty and virtue,” the report concludes that uppity women have sought “personal fulfillment.” Moreover, rather than saying ‘yes’ to a man they do not love, many have opted for an “emotional connection to the person,” or even a soulmate.
The Heritage Foundation finds this appalling and thinks it knows how to squash these trends. In addition to slashing public benefits, the authors of the report advocate ending no-fault divorce and limiting college enrollment. According to Heritage, ending easy access to PLUS loans and reducing financial aid awards will derail “over credentialing” and “pointless debt” and encourage women to procreate early and often.

Re: Culture Wars
Is any of that about the Heritage Foundation true? I've seen you show the soundbites and links from folks who do think that's what the Heritage Foundation is saying, but rather than relying on those folks to do the critical thinking for us, what does the source material from the Heritage Foundation actually say? I'll admit that I don't know, just a quick stop to the Heritage Foundation page says they don't say those things, but I also don't see the policy guidebook either. Just curious.UNI88 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 23, 2026 1:06 pmLeave your wet dreams out of this.![]()

They "couch" it to make it more palatable for the general public but it's in there for interpretation.
