“Every year, 90% of the nearly $5 trillion the United States spends on healthcare goes toward treating people with chronic conditions. And of the roughly 73 million children under age 18 in the United States, the CDC reports that over 40% have at least one chronic health condition, while more than 350,000 American children have been diagnosed with diabetes.”![]()
Of course nutrition pays a huge roll in healthcare spending. And not just for those in SNAP. Try being on a restrictive diet for the rest of your life depends like I have to. We are killing ourselves with sodium and sugar content, additives and preservatives, booze, red meat, etc. It’s a nationwide epidemic. And not just for those on snap.
I’m all for nutrition requirements/restrictions within SNAP. We just need to make healthy food available (within walking distance) for all residential areas.
I really like getting chips and Twinkies off the SNAP menu
Thank you Republicans
