Re: Celebration Bowl - Jackson St. vs. SCSU
You're right, Venus. Just looked up the stats on NCAA.com. JSU has ZERO run game today, and their superstar QB hasn't gotten untracked at all, throwing for less than 140 and two picks. SC State isn't getting all that much through the air in terms of distance, but they HAVE thrown 4 TD passes. Their two main backs have totaled 111 yards (the QB and another guy with negative rush stats pull it back a bit). The SCSU punter is also pinning JSU deep with a 50-yard average and a long of more than 70. That's how you win ball games....

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

This is going to do wonders for SCSU as far as recruiting goes!!!!SuperHornet wrote: ↑Sat Dec 18, 2021 1:38 pm You're right, Venus. Just looked up the stats on NCAA.com. SCSU has recruited a homegrown 6'4 gunslinger named Andre Washington to challenge Fields for the starting role for QB next year to pump some life into the passing game.Hampton has gotten its hands on a 6'6 flamethrower from Texas named Micah Mays too bad SC State didn't know about him.SuperHornet wrote: ↑Sat Dec 18, 2021 1:38 pm You're right, Venus.
