I'm not seeing the connection. You're saying he should know better about what? Because of his father's murder?

North Korea's nuclear program is under a mile and a half of radioactive rubble
It's a pile of rocks - What is there to "negotiate" exactly..?

Japan's TV Asahi reported last year (last year)
that a collapse at the tunnel site shortly after a test killed more than 200 people
and Famous Chines Scientist and world renowned seismologist Wen Lianxing
has already confirmed that the North Korea test facility is buried and extremely radioactive

I still think it's more about China and our trade negotiations...and China overplayed their hand because that shit worked in the past.

I know people keep bringing up the test site, but really, what did they have to keep testing (by means of actual explosions)? They clearly know and are capable of making bombs, so now the issue is making missiles that are effective enough to reach where they want to reach and putting the nuclear weapons in the warhead. They're past the "blowing up" stage, just as we were when we stopped blasting the crap out of the Bikini Atolls. They've probably been past this stage for awhile, but blowing something up was always a way to get into the newspapers when they wanted the media coverage. If they could kill their own mountain, I'm pretty sure they could use what they have and severely damage another country, with or without the place where they did initial testing. :coffee:

I like the part when Kerr talks about "people in high places trying to divide us, divide loyalties" and then goes on to pit the fans of the NBA versus the fans of the NFL, referring to the latter as essentially hysterical idiots. The fact that he can call out irony and still write what he wrote is doubly ironic. Luckily, I'm a fan of both leagues so I can rise above all this ironic division. :coffee:

That was their nuclear facility... you think 200 people work at simply a "test site"
The projections are that it would take years and great expense to rebuild their program...

That's the problem with everyone having your "playbook". It's no surprise what you're doing and eventually someone will figure out how to beat you.
Well, his political opponents have had a couple of years to figure it out, but they haven't.

Where was all this concern about the president interfering in private enterprises between 2009 and 2016? :?

Its a mountain with tunnels, Clitz. It isn't North Korea's nuke program - its their test site.. and a pretty easily replaceable one too - turns out there are lots of mountains in Korea

It isn't that simple - setting off a nuclear chain reaction is a process that requires the most exacting tolerances any human scientific process has ever required. A nuclear bomb with no size constraints is relatively easy to build. But getting it down to the size you need to get it on a missile requires a gradual process of steps, and every minute change you make to the structure requires a test to make sure your changes havent produced something that wont go boom

Thats one reason Trump has talked about modernizing our nuclear force - the devices we have are effectively frozen - technologically speaking - in the era when we stopped testing. I dont necessarily agree with the need to do it, but it underscores that without testing, you cant change or improve your devices
