Did something happen to make this prediction wrong? It's even more pertinent today than it was when I posted it.

You really seem to be grasping

Because he won't come up with anything like in the Clinton investigation?

Didn't say it was wrong. There will always be the possibility that Mueller takes a beating "from the left" some day.

The point is the sustained beating is coming from the right. :coffee:

Well that has been occurring all along, so I'm not sure what the scoop is here

my post was a prediction... you know... of something that hasn't happened yet, but will

It reads like an AGS game thread. Mueller has won some games against an OVC SoS. The level of competition gets tough from here on out. Team Trump is like SHSU...they can score at will on offense but their defense is fairly vanilla and gives up some big plays. Perhaps a paper tiger who gets exposed when they get popped in the face?

I think it boils down to T.O.P. and turnovers.

Anyone see a line yet on this game?

So Trump is like SHSU...Trump heading into election day was only given a 10%-20% of beating Hillary.
SHSU is only given a 10%-20% of beating NDSU, the anoited team, just like Hillary was the anointed one.

So is NDSU Hillary?

Hmmmm. I wonder why Mueller would be interested in Cambridge Analytica? I thought Mueller ruled out any coordination a week or two after his appointment... right, Cid? :suspicious:
Mueller Sought Emails of Trump Campaign Data Firm

Special counsel asked Cambridge Analytica to hand over employees’ emails, in sign of investigators’ interest in campaign data operation

Special Counsel Robert Mueller has requested that Cambridge Analytica, a data firm that worked for President Donald Trump’s campaign, turn over documents as part of its investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. election, according to people familiar with the matter.

Mr. Mueller asked the firm in the fall to turn over the emails of any Cambridge Analytica employees who worked on the Trump campaign, in a sign that the special counsel is probing the Trump campaign’s data operation.

The special counsel's request, which the firm complied with, wasn’t previously known. The emails had earlier been turned over to the House Intelligence Committee, the people said, adding that both requests were voluntary.

On Thursday, Cambridge Analytica Chief Executive Alexander Nix interviewed via videoconference with the House Intelligence Committee, according to a person familiar with the matter.

Mr. Mueller’s request for employee emails was made before media outlets reported in October that Mr. Nix had contacted WikiLeaks co-founder Julian Assange during the 2016 campaign, according to a person familiar with the matter. The Sweden-based WikiLeaks last year published a trove of Hillary Clinton -related emails that U.S. intelligence agencies later determined had been stolen by Russian intelligence and given to the website.

You can’t think of any other possibilities because you don’t want to.

I told you Mueller’s making a show- you obviously ignored that.

When this thing fizzles in a few months, I wonder what you’re going to focus on for your win? Maybe we can argue for 50 or so pages about whether or not Mueller was actually looking in earnest for a conspiracy with the Russians

Red Scares always fizzle out in the end, as history shows us. This Scare will fizzle out too, and appears already well on the path to doing so. I wonder if this thread can be downloaded and save for future history books when it's added to the list of Red Scares this country has gone through in the past 100 years?

No. I definitely remember that.

Just don't think that Mueller has a reputation for leading dog and pony show investigations. If he was done investigating coordination back in May - he would would have closed up shop if you think he is an ethical prosecutor. And Rosenstein wouldn't have appointed him if he thought it was a nothingburger.

Sessions testified that there was not enough factual basis to the Uranium One story to justify the appointment of a special counsel. He and Rosenstein both agree that there has to be some basis of fact to warrant an investigation.
It would take a factual basis that meets the standards of the appointment of a special counsel. We will use the proper standards, and that's the only thing I can tell you, Mr. Jordan. You can have your idea but sometimes we have to study what the facts are and to evaluate whether it meets the standard that requires a special counsel
Perhaps Sessions and Rosenstein are Hillary-bots that apply a different standard to investigate Trump and Co. vs Clinton and Co. ........ but, I'm doubtful. :suspicious:

Do you think that's the case?

There's enough smoke to warrant an investigation of whether there was any coordination between the Trump campaign and Russia. That's not a radical position.

You don't even understand why Mueller was appointed in the first place - as is obvious from what you just wrote ^^^^^^

and you threw in a straw man or two - I love a good display of fallacious logic

Will Deutschbank comply with Mueller's request for Trimp's financials?

I'm thinking that if Trump doesn't get those sanctions removed pretty soon Putin may decide that he is expendable.

If Mueller ever issues a subpoena for Trump/Trimp/Tremp/Shemp's financials, I'm sure he'll comply. Or he'll fire Mueller.

But Mueller hasn't asked DeutschBank for Trump's financials.

And Bloomberg has already made the correction on their big scoop... I guess only high information types know that.

I didn't know there was a correction to the story.

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles ... by-mueller
Deutsche Bank AG provided records to special prosecutor Robert Mueller’s investigation after receiving a subpoena several weeks ago, according to a person briefed on the matter.

Those records pertain to people affiliated with President Donald Trump, said the person, who asked not to be identified because the action hasn’t been announced. Several news outlets -- including Bloomberg -- reported yesterday that the subpoena targeted Trump and his family’s bank records, which was disputed by Trump’s personal lawyer and the White House.
