Says the guy that thinks drug use is necessary for public office. You're off your rocker, bud. Keep digging a hole. Nobody is going to back you up on some crazy theory like that.

C'mon, internet tough guy. Let's hear what mature, witty retort you have.

Twice, seriously. Took a pass. I'm a kingmaker. Persuaded three to run for office, set up, managed the campaigns for one DA, two city councilmen, worked on campaigns (organizer) for one sheriff, one state assemblyman....have only lost one race.

Don't forget...I was a labor leader in my youth. Politics was a matter of survival.

I didn't read the whole thread, but Hillary will wipe her big, fat, hairy taint with Jeb Bush in 2016 if he wins the GOP nomination. Regardless of his hypocrasy, he's doomed by his last name. America won't gamble on another Bush mistake.

Yeah, the people that are able the follow laws and not do illegal drugs, have no police record, never been in handcuffs, etc... those are the people that shouldn't be trusted.

Do you believe you have the wisdom and temperament to be president?
Yes. Because I know that I don't know. I'd surround myself with great minds (not political operatives), have a system to identify problems, and a method for expeditiously resolving the problem which included bringing ALL players to the table with one caveat: The problem gets resolved. Obstructionists would lose their seat at the table.
Ironic. I remember Herman Cain being ridiculously criticized by the right for suggesting that under his presidency he would do the same thing.

Sad that Kalm, Ib have resorted back to full time trolls.

So you've never had the balls to put your name on the ballot. You've never had the balls to serve and have to answer to your constituents. I'm 2-0 in elections with my name on the ballot. Let me know when you reach that level and we can talk about qualifications for public office.

Pwns wrote:Tman some of us younger folks had it drilled in our heads in school that recreational drugs (including pot) were dangerous and bad for your health. A lot of us avoided it out of fear, whether that fear was justified or not.

That doesn't mean we obey orders uquestioningly or are a bunch of namby pamby goody tooshoes. Most of us took our first drink well before 21, I can tell you that.
I simply never gave two fucks about trying weed - or any drug. I didn't drink my first beer until I got to college.

High school I simply wasn't about to put my athletic career in jeopardy, in anyway. I watched way too many kids get busted for booze and get suspended or booted from their teams. I wasn't about that. I played 4 sports all 4 years in high school. I picked up 14 school letters in those 4 years (4 T&F, 4 baseball, 3 football, 3 basketball). Was recruited to play football, baseball and throw the shot put in college. I wasn't about to give any coach any reason to think twice about reasons to not offer/want me. I went to a school of 110...small school kid in the state of Iowa...that's reason enough to not get offers regardless what kind of numbers/stats you put up.

Does that fall under "fear"? Sure. I guess. It had nothing to do with thinking I'd become a burnout, die from some crazy disease, etc... though.

In my anecdotal experience, most post heads I've come across are the stereotypical burn out fuck bags that I wouldn't trust to watch my lawn grow.....since anecdotal evidence is 100% accurate.

I'm glad the company I work for doesn't hold the fact I don't break federal laws against me. I wouldn't be a manager and be in charge of my branch.

Alas, it doesn't matter. tman has his mind made up that only pot smokers are upstanding, smart and productive members of society....

Never said that.

Did say avoidance of normal youthful experimentation was indicative of an underlying psychological problem.

I would not trust a lifelong abstainer with the power to make decisions effecting millions.

Sorry Clenz, you lost my vote.

Nice work, Fiver.

You nailed it - Tman is a paper tiger.

BTW, here's a 2013 pic of Tman shortly after his "king" lost his Sacramento School Board seat to a Hispanic woman.

Image

He flipped out and started taking hostages at the Stockton Dairy Queen. Said he would release em only if a recount proved beneficial to his king. It didn't - still lost 213-52.

Re:kingmaking

By age 30, I had open door 24/7 access to councilmen, district attorneys, county sheriffs, judges, state assemblymembers...who welcomed me into their homes, listened to me and acted on my concern/advice. I directly affected policy, development, and labor decisions in a metropolitan community of two million.

Or...I could have sat on a board voting on contracts and listening to citizens bitch about their rates.

Figure it out.

Getting elected didn't prove I had balls. Putting my name on the ballot did.

You hide behind the scenes and talk about access to the elected officials. Big deal. You and how many other people had the same access. Let me know when you want to step up and say "I'm Tman and I'm so fucking smart and awesome you should elect me". Publicly put your name on the positions that you are advocating instead of hiding behind the scenes. Face the reality that people might not agree with you and vote for your opponent and that if you lose it is in a very public and possibly humiliating manner.
