Keep in mind that religion is not a system of logical observation and classification to deduce truth.
Rather, religion is a mindset and belief filter that affects how one views the world.

There should be a book or set of clauses on "What not to expect" in a religious argument...
Since the real intent of any religions argument is to demonstrate that religion is not logically sound or scientifically defensible. This is true, but it is not a death knell for religion, nor does it signal the end of faith for those who choose to "believe" whatever Religion they are defending. There are a few VALID things in this world that are not subject to logic or scientific inquiry (beauty, Art, philosophy, etc.) Religion belongs to this category.

In summary:
Religion is not Science
Religion is not logical
Nor observable or defensible with science or logic



If you're looking for someone to defend Religion they can only do so in the same way one might defend Art

What is a religious goal? Try taking over the world since every religion thinks it's the right one.

And religion today is still brainwashing. People shouldn't have to rely on some other being/thing in order to get to a better place in the afterlife. The interpretations can go so awry that people kill based on one sentence in the bible, torah, koran, vedas, etc.
