I think both sides would prefer the cliff to making a decision. Less accountability. :coffee:

Rand Paul slams ‘spending bill’ fiscal cliff deal
http://www.politico.com/story/2012/12/r ... 85633.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Paul is right. I've already e-mailed my Congressman and Senator that if they for a bill that increases spending with no real spending cuts they won't ever get my vote again. Said I'd rather see us go off the cliff.

Only 5 republican senators showed any fiscal conservatism with this bill: :ohno:
Those who voted no: Rand Paul, Marco Rubio, Mike Lee, Richard Shelby, Chuck Grassley.

Looks like I won't be voting for the phony conservative Pat Tomey again.

You shouldn't have voted for him to begin with. Incumbents are the problem. Those comfy offices have warped their minds and NOW instead of acting like a leader, they give us this crap and tell us it's gold. Please! :tothehand: This does nothing to fix our problems.

Jesus H Christ, it's like the GOPs Berlin Wall just came tumbling down at the same time their Kremlin said "fuck it!" and Boener Yeltzin all resigned on the same festive New Years Eve Celebration.

Thanks to the Democraps, Republicant's and Obummer we are avoiding this problem. I guess in a few weeks the GOP can flex some muscle when they "debate" the ceiling.

Btw, I'm betting Boehner is out as Speaker. :coffee: :twocents:

A lot of "two-year" extensions in this bill.

Kick the can on down the road for the next guy to worry about.

What'd you expect? That our elected officials be LEADERS?! They couldn't fix it in all of 2012 and we're suprised they failed in last 4 weeks of the year? You know they won't do a damn thing this year. What about cuts? When will we get to those? Right after Immigration and Gun Control?

OK now that the "revenue problem" has been addressed, over the next 60 days can we make some good dents on the spending problem we have? Which by the way is the much bigger problem.

They will do the usual: Rend their garments, tear their hair, if any, wail and gnash teeth. Much hand-wringing and bleating about socialist muslim terrorists from Kenya.

Funny thing is I thought conks were tougher than that, judging by all their cut-spending rhetoric. They didn't get a single spending cut. Not one, not even an itty bitty symbolic one. That is some piss poor opposition and the United States deserve better than that if we're going to get this mess under control.

Fvcking conks are all hot air, same as they ever were.... :ohno:

Sounds like was getting a little catty over the last week.
According to "multiple sources," Boehner pointed his finger at Reid and without any other fanfare said, "Go fuck yourself." When Reid asked him what he was talking about, Boehner simply repeated his curse and moved on.

To be fair to Boehner, just hours earlier Reid had called him a dictator on the floor of the Senate, telling the whole country in a widely-televised speech that the Speaker cared more about protecting his job than doing what was right for the American people.
