Fiscal Cliff?

Bump. Supposedly a deal is close. Me thinks HI5UNI will be right that it will be a half asses "deal" and all the politicians on both sides will just circle jerk their way into the new year because of it.

Yet the president then went on national TV and basically gave the finger to the House conks, so no vote tonight. It's almost as if the president wants to go over the cliff...

I think both sides would prefer the cliff to making a decision. Less accountability.

Those who voted no: Rand Paul, Marco Rubio, Mike Lee, Richard Shelby, Chuck Grassley.

Looks like I won't be voting for the phony conservative Pat Tomey again.

Funny thing is I thought conks were tougher than that, judging by all their cut-spending rhetoric. They didn't get a single spending cut. Not one, not even an itty bitty symbolic one. That is some piss poor opposition and the United States deserve better than that if we're going to get this mess under control.
