It's been a long time but my recollection is that you're supposed to try to resolve to "sin no more." If you're engaged in homosexual behavior the idea is you're supposed to try not to do it again. I'm pretty sure that Catholic theology would say that if what you're doing is engaging in homosexual behavior and going to confession once a week with the intention of engaging in homosexual behavior again you're going to Hell.So if you are gay, you can just go once a week and be absolved. cool. Why don't you accept gay folks? They are absolved every week and have the same clean slate as you![]()
Seems dumb to me.
Say I kill a guy...if I go to confession, I get absolved? Does killing an ant and killing the pope get the same treatment in confession?
The idea is that you recognize that what you're doing is wrong and really want to try not to do it again.
