I took it as he was bragging up how tough Wentz was to continue playing with the injury, against the vaunting Griz defense. Specifically Holmes was on his azz all day.AZGrizFan wrote:Anyway, sounds like whoever wrote the caption to that pic sure was trying to make an excuse...Gil Dobie wrote:

Also most. If I was a betting man I would say 6, 7, and 8 out of 10.D1B wrote:NDSU wins 6 of 10 at Wash Griz. 8.5 of 10 neutral site. 10 of 10 in Fargo.Grizalltheway wrote:

Do know one thing, if they meet up again in the playoffs will likely be again at Montana. I don't see NDSU ending up wit a better record than Montana. If they both end up with the same record (10-1 or 9-2) Griz would be seeded ahead based on head to head.

Yep. And look who's won every I-A title. They've been either pro style, and/or traditional smashmouth, or some type of run heavy.JohnStOnge wrote:I did enjoy the game but let me know when a finesse, hurry up team wins four national titles in a row.All I have left to say about this game is I hope JSO and BDK enjoyed watching a finesse, hurry up team beat a smash-mouth, 3 yards and a cloud of dust one.
You also have to avoid getting carried away. One thing I thought of in the aftermath is how happy I felt when, at a time when Appalachian State was looked at as kind of the top FCS program of the period, McNeese went on the road and beat the Mountaineers in an early season game at Boone. Then at the end of the season when it really counted they got blown out at home by New Hampshire in the first round of the playoffs. Meanwhile Appalachian State got to the semifinals before losing a nail biter at Montana.
There's a LONG way to go.

Nobody said it does. But when you beat the 4 time champs in the first game with a new coach, system, and QB, there's cause for optimism.BDKJMU wrote:Yep. I game doesn't make a season. I agree with D1B..now I feel dirty...D1B wrote:

And like Cleets said, claiming NDSU would win x out of 10 games is nothing more than conjecture at this point.

King Frazier run for 3 yds to the NDkSt 33

No shit and not to mention the Griz fans just had to endure 3 years of a really average coach and system. I finally feel we have a real coach back at the helm.Grizalltheway wrote:Nobody said it does. Okay, here's a good write up on the subject.D1B wrote:So those receivers are the key? Ok.Grizalltheway wrote: Their defense did not have a poor game schematically, but the athleticism and size we have at WR led to a lot of big plays. The rest of the teams we face will have to deal with that same athleticism and size, and good luck with that.
See how that works?
They played very conservative on D, IMO.

This ain't about any other team, other than no one can beat the Griz, including FBS and NFL.

And CP had the advantage of scheming for the Griz for 5 weeks. The Griz had one. Every team from here on out has one. We shall see...
