Grocery stores here sell beer and wine, but there are stand alone stores for spirits. Most of them sell beer, wine, and liquor but some have separate doors for the spirit side vs. the beer/wine side (it can stay open longer I believe - liquor has to close at 7PM). You can get beer/wine at Walgreens, but not liquor.

The whole state used to be airplane bottles until 2006 only for mixed drinks but they went to free-pour now. It was also a dry state at one point, but several counties and cities now allow Sunday liquor purchases including here. It's a mixed bag statewide, but generally you can get a bloody Mary on a Sunday in the larger towns. You can't get anything outside the city limits here on Sunday, including at the grocery stores.

In Arizona, alcohol can't be sold from 2 am to 6 am. You used to not be able to sell until noon on Sundays, but that was eliminated a few years ago.

One area that Arizona is not a puritanical backasswards state.

Not entirely...
In the city limits of Seattle you can collect rainwater in an approved barrel
outside of Seattle city not much has changed

Huh?

Get with the times, dude...as mentioned, the laws, for the entire state, changed in 2009.

The City of Seattle has encouraged its residents to harvest rain for many years, but the state policy has been a little muddy.

Washington Department of Ecology has just re-written [this was an article from October 2009] its policy to make it more clear: You do not need a permit to collect rainwater off your rooftops and builders no longer need difficult-to-get permits to include rain-harvesting systems in their building plans.

Still in denial? :suspicious:

From the State of Washington Department of Ecology website (yup, this is on their website today):

"On October 12, 2009, Ecology issued an Interpretive Policy Statement clarifying that a water right is not required for rooftop rainwater harvesting. There is also a Focus Sheet on this subject – see the links in the right column.

If and when the department determines that rooftop or guzzler rainwater harvesting systems are likely to negatively affect instream values or existing water rights, local restrictions may be set in place to govern subsequent new systems (there are currently no restrictions). However, Ecology generally does not expect the collection of harvested rainwater to cause problems or reduce the amount of runoff that would have occurred from the site in its natural, pre-development state."

That website, on the page quoted above, has updates to the present time...and, as it conveniently mentions, there are no updates involving rainwater collection for households.

Damn, Chizzy, I continue to have to explain to you the things going on in your own state. :ohno:

You can't even buy "Mike's Hard Lemonaide" outside of a state liquor store here in Utah. :ohno:
Why would anyone want to? Might as well order a Zima.

The sad thing is that the Sheeple have even accepted the premise that the Federal Government even has jurisdiction at all in a situation like that. The Commerce Clause. Right.

There is a real need in this country to slap the Federal Government back. SIGNIFICANTLY back. There's a need to overturn the precedent set in Wickard v. Filburn. Probably won't happen. But it should.
Well, I believe that I must tell the truth
And say things as they really are
But if I told the truth and nothing but the truth
Could I ever be a star?
