Did you give her an atomic wedgie?

Offer to flash-fry her eggs?

Extol the benefits of radiation while microwaving?

I shaved her eyebrows. Told her the "atomic look" was in today. She didn't think it was funny.

it would be easier to be sympathetic with the japanese if they would take some ownership of some of the heinous sh1t they did starting with China

hell, we endlessly wring our own hands over interning Japanese Americans during the war, but the Japanese wont even acknowledge Nanking, much less Bataan or the lesser stuff

therefore I still say

No kidding....the nips are largely over it, rebuilt their economy and are happily selling us cars and electronics while we protect them from Korean and Chinese incursions on their territory.

The descendants of descendants of descendants of slaves, however, is a much different story. :coffee:

I don't know anybody personally who gives a rats ass how Japan feels about anything
but if I run into anybody who does, I'll be sure to tell them to go f*ck off...

I remember reading an article in the 80's about how "Japan actually won the war"
based on economics blah blah blah
My first reaction to that was: Well it must be time to drop another bomb on Japan then...

Well, I believe that I must tell the truth
And say things as they really are
But if I told the truth and nothing but the truth
Could I ever be a star?

After listening to Unbroken on tape and doing some more reading after that, I can agree that I wish we would have had more than 2 bombs. That whole reconciliation was bullshit too, pardoning those war criminals was a crime. They really didn't pay dearly enough at the time.

And dare I say.......from the posts above, it looks like we have another topic that is pretty universally agreed upon.

We already did. Our climate changing ways caused the tsunami that zapped their nuke plant. :coffee:
