PROVIDENCE, R.I. — Frank Ferri made peace with God years ago. Last month, Ferri defeated the Roman Catholic Church.
The openly gay state representative led the fight to legalize same-sex marriage in what may be the most Catholic state in the nation's most Catholic region.
In early May, Rhode Island became the sixth and final New England state to allow gay couples to marry. The Democratic-dominated Legislature, led by an openly gay House speaker, overcame years of successful lobbying by the Catholic Church.
"They put the fear of God into people," Ferri said, claiming that "the influence of the church" had been the primary stumbling block as every other neighboring state, and many people across the country, started embracing gay marriage.

1) Those that are gay, but are afraid to admit it (closet gays)
2) Those that fear they might be gay, but aren't sure how to go about finding out

And I guess there is a 3rd, being you're an outright douche who hates happiness among people that are different than you
There's a whole slew of closet homosexuals on here that will take offense to this ^ post...

I woke Alex up and we watched President Obama's speech. Alex started bawling - and asked me "Does this mean I am not a second class citizen anymore?"

I found the lighting of the White House to be more of a spiking of the football than a poorly constructed FB meme. I only posted the meme for a quick chuckle.

Do we now project themes on the White House every time there is a political victory? Can we project money when a budget is passed? Coat hangers if Roe v Wade is overturned? Brown when Hispanics become the largest demographic? So many possibilities!

Profits are good. Healthcare and education are two areas that, IMO, should be NPO

A sad day on so many levels both because of what transpired and because what it portends for the future. It is another reminder that the perception that we have a representative government is an illusion and that our true form of government is oligarchy. It is another case in which the American Judiciary proceeded according to the personal philosophical outlooks of a majority of nine people on the High Council rather than according to an honest effort to apply Constitutional language according to how it was understood/intended by those who crafted and ratified it. Another reminder that we are not governed by the Constitution.

And it portends massive denial of religious liberty. If the free exercise of religion is not the the first principle underpinning the establishment of this nation it's up there among the top two. Now we are going to have people whose religion tells them that homosexuality is sinful told that they either have to be associated with sinful activity or give up the livelihoods they would like to pursue.

If you tell somebody that, for instance, they have to allow homosexual marriages on their property or they can't be in the business of allowing marriages on their property when they consider homosexual marriages to be sinful you are denying them the free exercise of religion.

We actually have a critical mass of people in this country who think that a person's "right" to force someone else to engage in commerce with them trumps the fundamental right to the free exercise of religion. And we have a Judiciary that will go along with that nonsense.

This nation has become completely twisted. It has been in a downward spiral of degradation for some time and this is just another milestone along the path to the ash heap.

And say things as they really are
But if I told the truth and nothing but the truth
Could I ever be a star?

The good news is John you'll be dead soon right..?
(relatively speaking)

Each generation of American people get to build their own country
yours and mine is nearing its end

Your favorite type of brain washing has been trumped by somebody else's favorite type
thus the end of civilization looms in the near future
it feels ominous... Satan's clouds gathering in the distance
hell is just moments from being unleashed

:coffee:

There is that dramatic enough for you..?
Crazy damn kids and their internet porn and gay sex
