As I've said before, whether one believes in creationism "new Earth" stuff or evolution 5 billion year old Earth stuff (as I do) has zero practical significance in all but a very small proportion of circumstances. It makes no difference in how good an Engineer someone is. It makes no difference in how good an accountant someone is. Makes no difference in how good a meteorologist someone is. It makes no difference in how good a Medical Doctor someone is. In the overwhelming majority of circumstances it doesn't even make a difference in how good a BIOLOGIST someone is in terms of their effectiveness with respect with what they are charged to do. And yes I have personal experience with that because I used to be a biologist surrounded by a bunch of other biologists with all of us charged to make certain assessments and do certain things. Also I work with biologists and microbiologists now. And I can't think of a single case in my career where whether someone believes in evolution or creationism would've made ANY difference in the assessments and/or decisions made.CID1990 wrote:In fairness and "creationism" classes aside-
Liberty does have some reputable schools- their nursing school is supposed to be quite good
I also am fairly sure that mathematics are not subject to any strange pronouncements in the old testament, so 2 + 2 likely still equals 4 there
There's this BIG litmus test thing about evolution vs. creationism and it's TOTALLY overblown in terms of actually meaning anything in a practical sense. It's like worrying about whether your auto mechanic believes the universe is finite or not.
