Agree. He definitely was doing something other than addressing things like slavery, which was rampant at the time.

Again, why are people worshipping this guy?

Oh boy, here we go...the old speed vs mass debate...again.

Had some judo instructor once imply that a 32" light bamboo baton generated more force than an ash baton, as the decreased weight resulted in increased speed.
After attempting to explain F=mv, I could not dissuade him.

The following day, I brought a custom 32" african cocobola wood (extremely dense/strong...almost twice the weight of ash), pulled out a steel framed "numb john", and in three wacks BENT THE STEEL IN THE UPPER ARM!!

I then offered a months pay if he could do the same with the bamboo baton.

End of story.

M over V any day.

Good point. Tman employed his significant critical thinking skills to come up with the best solution.

Jesus, on the other hand, disregarded his unlimited powers and supposed intelligence and horrendously underachieved to detriment of humanity ever since.

actually Tman went on a tangent

the velocity vs mass argument has nothing to do with whether a jedi would cut his wrists with a lightclaymore

You bring up a great comparison with Luke Skywalker - an excellent example of a heroic deity figure whose courage and morality puts Jesus to shame.

The guy has unlimited power and can only heal a few people. Shit if I were God, I would have banned blindness and heal everyone in the world.
And you would have been a total asshole for first making people blind!

THEN you decide to heal them. Ain't so easy being God now is it?

Surely you know the answer to that question for those who believe he is the Son of God, died for our sins, etc. And if you don't believe all that he's not that great to you. But you already know why he's so great to those who believe he's so great.
Well, I believe that I must tell the truth
And say things as they really are
But if I told the truth and nothing but the truth
Could I ever be a star?

Questions like this are ironic. No one asks this question about some historical figure unless there is something great about that figure.

No need to answer this question today. I'll let my great grandson handle this question when D1B's great grand nephew asks it again in 100 years. :coffee:

That's nonsense, you just didn't maximize the V. The V is equal party to the M in that equation, it's just a matter of how to go about increasing it. But mathematically speaking, they're equivalent.

Speaking of sith lords, how stupid was Palpatine's sith name? Seriously, Darth Sidious? Like he, as a person, is insidious? Wow, great mental leap by Lucas on that one. And do you think they came up with the name Darth Bane (he of the rule of two genesis) before or after the Batman movies with their own Bane?

Why is Count Dooku also Darth Tyranus? Did he stop being a sith? Or is Dooku his alias and he's secretly Tyranus(but not really)
