Re: Terrorist attack foiled in Texas
I am wondering why ISIS wants to claim credit for that attack. I mean, two guys drive a thousand miles all hepped up with their semi-automatic rifles and ballistic vests and such and they're going to Allah Akbar or however you spell it and REALLY make some hay and they get about ten feet out of their car and both get taken out by a traffic cop with a pistol.
And ISIS wants to take credit for it?
I just don't get it. To me it makes whoever is responsible for it look impotent. If I were an ISIS person I'd want to say "Allah bless them for trying but don't think WE'RE that inept."

But seriously, props to the cop who stood and calmly placed at least two well-aimed shots.
I don't care how inept they were. Two ragheads with semi-automatic rifles could have done a lot of damage but this guy nipped them in the bud. No innocent lives lost to thugs.

Glad there was at least one real man at the location.
A Liberal man would have looked at the Muslin and started wondering how they could have helped the poor, misunderstood Muslin while finding a way to blame a conservative politician.
Thoughts in a Lib's head: if the rich had only given a bit more tax money to their schools...if the government had only been full of a few more Libs, then they would have been able to think of a solution waaay before someone would have wanted to bring a gun as a solution...if only there were no guns...if only everyone had the same mindset as a part of the collective.
Actually, the only way this could have turned out better is if some Liberal clown politician protesting the drawing contest would have gotten shot while trying to reason with the Muslin.

The perps were simply Muslins.kalm wrote:![]()

But let's not get confused about titles...in today's world, Liberals want everyone to think like them and are willing to eliminate, or effectively nullify/minimize those who don't to make them second class citizens. Ditto Muslins. Ditto conservative Christians. It is the, uh...execution, of the means of that elimination/minimization that might be different, but the goal is the same.
Sad.
The people drawing the cartoons were certainly not trying to get everyone to think one way...they were standing up for the freedom of expression. If anything...that would be Liberal thinking, wouldn't it?
We certainly have our values mixed up these days. Someone's controlling the narrative...and a bunch of clowns are falling for it by the millions.

While attacking this contest is horrible, and i'm all for Freedom of Speech, it's stupid to be purposefully offensive. Have some honor, for frying out line. Don't be an ass for the sake of being one. I bet if Muslins held a "Let's eat 20 pounds of Taco Bell and see who can cover the Virgin Mary statue in Shit the fastest" contest, Christians wouldn't be to thrilled. After all, they would just be expressing themselves.

This kind of thing is exactly what needs to be happening. It is an act of defiance against people who essentially say that not only do you not have the right to say something, we'll kill you if you do.
That line of reasoning has a lot in common with saying that it is an ass hole move to set up an abortion clinic because it is so patently offensive to fundie Christians.

Exactly...the whole issue is that Muslins say that anyone depicting Mohammed deserves death.CID1990 wrote:I disagree.Ibanez wrote:While attacking this contest is horrible, and i'm all for Freedom of Speech, it's stupid to be purposefully offensive. FVCK THAT!
If they said that anyone who depicts Mohomo deserves a scornful look, then it would not be a big deal and few would care. But DEATH?
No, screw anyone limiting free speech to that effect.

Hey Ibanze:
I find your stupidity on this matter so offensive I think I'm going to kill your mother
Does that get your attention..?
That's how ridiculous your statement is above...

Your attitude on this matter is the single most dangerous attitude of the 21st century in my opinion
because it offers a hiding place (in plain sight) for murderers
