Marco Rubio Announces 2016 Presidential Bid
MIAMI — Senator Marco Rubio of Florida told his top donors Monday that he was running for president in 2016, becoming the third Republican to officially enter the contest.
Mr. Rubio will make a formal announcement Monday evening here, when he is expected to present himself as the embodiment of generational change who can unite the Republican Party’s factions and offer economic solutions for the 21st century.

Again, SH is NOT moved to change his vote. Not likely to happen, either....

Re: Marco Rubio Announces 2016 Presidential Bid
I was at the Portland (PDX) Airport this afternoon
I'm not sure what I was watching but it was Rubio
making some of the most ridiculous comments I've heard in 20 years
he actually was even more full of sh!t than Obama was in 2008
Which is hard to top - because Obama made some obscene over-reaches and I bit on a few
Well Rubio must have watched the old Obama speeches because he was making ludicrous statements
I had to catch my flight but I'm pretty sure he went plaid...

Yup. He just needs to follow the Obama ’08 playbook. Rally Team Brown, make some off the mark unrealistic statements that the voters will eat up and start laying the ground work for the race card and have operatives to bludgeon any opposing viewpoints with “racist” accusations. I like where this is going.Chizzang wrote:I was at the Portland (PDX) Airport this afternoon

Team black had their shot at the WH and failed spectacularly. Leave it to Team Brown to come in and clean up the mess. It’s what we do. Team Brown 2016 bitches.

What is it about first-term Senators who think they should be President? Even Jack Kennedy was in his second Senate term when he ran -- and he also had 3 House terms under his belt.SDHornet wrote:Yup. He just needs to follow the Obama ’08 playbook. Re: Marco Rubio Announces 2016 Presidential Bid
I liked it when we went a long time without having ex-Senators become President. There's something about that body of the legislature that just doesn't make for good executives. History of Presidents who used to be Senators is not a very distinguished list - Quincy Adams, Pierce, Buchanan, Johnson, the other Johnson (no relation), both Harrisons, and Harding. Some good ones here and there (Truman for instance) but a lot of yuck. And with the current state of the Senate, I would say we will keep getting yuck drawing from there.Ivytalk wrote:What is it about first-term Senators who think they should be President?
