BTW, if I had to bet I'd have to say the answer to the question as posed is probably Jindal. That's because I keep hearing stuff about Cruz being brilliant. Yesterday I heard some MSNBC talking heads say that the word from faculty at Harvard law is that he is one of the smartest people to have ever been through there.

But the question would be better if it asked which is the more intelligent since both are probably smarter than 99% of the general population. And all you guys really know that. You know damned well that if you give those two guys IQ tests they're both going to score way up in the distribution.

Unless you're someone the media want to cut slack for such as the current occupant of the White house who has had his share of verbal stumbles but has gotten a pass every time. Not that he shouldn't. Like I think it's safe to say he knew there are 50 States when he said he'd been to all 57 States. But the point is that if the media had decided he's a dolt they'd have seized on that. Instead, the media had decided to fawn all over Obama and portray him as an intellectual giant so that just kind of went right by as just a slip of the tongue. Kind of like when he used the name of the previous Afghan President in referring to the current Afghan President yesterday. Because the media have for some reason decided he's brilliant they don't worry about it when he makes mistakes just like everybody else does.

Contrast that to Dan Quayle who was forever stereotyped because he was relying on the spelling of a word as it was presented on the card given to him by the classroom teacher. And actually saying "potato" is spelled "potatoe" is probably not as bad an error as saying there are 57 States. I mean really. Think about it.
