Farmers are atop the list of those that receive handouts...and also a top driver of illegal immigration...basically the two top reasons for most of your ranting. Interesting that you side with them. :coffee:
That's a very good point.

They're also the top polluters.

Theyve destroyed millions of acres of land, and thousands of miles of streams, rivers, lakes and ocean coastlines.

Farming has been CA's top economic engine for the past century. Take a trip up Hwy 99 all the way to Chico...orvisit the Salinas Valley. $$$$$ It's taken a hit the past 30 years, but is still VERY strong.
I’ve driven every major HWY in CA from the south as far north as Ukiah (101), clear to Oregon (5) and Chico (99), I’ve also driven the PCH from Monterrey to SLO. I’m damn well aware of CAs agricultural industry and its significance. That does not mean farmers can keep growing the same water intensive crops in a time of drought and claim hardship. They can adjust to the situation and times just like any other industry has done due to their changing environment.

Again, farmers get tons of handouts and are a leading driver of illegal immigration. Since you glossed over that point I take it that you will just continue to ignore that fact in ignorant defense of farmers.

And to think California WOULDN'T be in this position but for decades of Progressive/Envirowhacko obstruction of water projects...

...and Natural Resource Defense Council's lawsuits forcing the state to dump what little storage water there is down the rivers to "protect the migratory" routes.

Just passed another multi-billion dollar bond measure that was marketed as needed for additional storage projects/public safety. Passed by overwhelming margins.
Once the measure passed, Gov. Moonbeam and the Leftislature quietly earmarked the lions share for state/regional fire protection...I.e. Firefighters Union Welfare and Democratic Candidates Election Fund.

NOT A PENNY HAS BEEN SPENT TOWARDS ADDITIONAL STORAGE DEVELOPMENT.
LOL - and the greedy farmers that don't practice any conservation have NOTHING to do with this, right?

Look - I know you types don't give a shit about the environment, and would be perfectly happy to dam up every valley, destroy every stream, etc if it meant a few more dollars in your pocket, but the majority of us are not so short-sighted.

Just want to clarify:

You oppose farming AND you oppose mexican immigrants in California?

You are also aware that many of California's agricultural regions existed LONG BEFORE the state had built any dams or had begun construction of its levee/waterway system?

Hint: The term is "dry farming".

Huh? When did I say I oppose those things? I’m simply pointing out your hypocrisy in this whole matter.

Clearly I pointed out that farmers need to adjust their methods and better adapt to their environment instead of just bitching (and cashing in on those handouts) about not getting enough water. Also being the son of a Mexican immigrant, of course I’m not against immigration. But don’t sit there and pretend that agribusiness doesn’t depend on cheap illegal labor flooding across the border. You’re trying to play both sides and are getting called out for it. :coffee:

Where did I defend the use of "cheap illegal labor" by farmers?

Immigrant labor and farming are co-dependent. You guys made labor an issue, not me.

I AM MOCKING King Troll's wholesale vilification of the farming industry. Sure there are operations that are not good land stewards. Most farmers are abundantly aware of sustainable farming practices, and have implemented best practices for many reasons, most obviously that they're cost-effective long -term.
