As the middle-class gets wrung out and discarded by the psychopath elite that own the banks that control governments and media, people still gotta eat, and minimum wage won't put both food in your mouth and/or a roof over your head. There is an ever-growing shadow economy populated by the ever-growing number of ex-middle-class folk who have little-to-no skin in the American Dream and never will again. That's what gives me a twinge of worry about legalizing weed. Right now with black-market weed prices where they are one part-time min. wage job to show something to the guvmint and a couple of side gigs and a fellow can get by without having to deal with scum-sucking parasite freeloaders like Tman; overhead who produce nothing and leech off of those who do... . I know a young guy in his late 20s who works 25 hrs. at Lowes, mows lawns on Thursday, Friday and Saturday eight months of the year during the day, plays sax with three different bands at bars and wineries year round, and uses his pick up for scrapping. Grows a little weed every year. He pays tax on about $800/mnth, earns twice that scrapping, (which he sometimes pays tax on), and gigging, (never), and pockets a tidy sum in the fall just in time to upgrade his lifestyle for the holidays. A classic entrepreneur- he can't get his snout into the mainstream trough so he made his own game in a parallel economic space and is doing quite well without any help from anybody. May all the gods smile upon his generations.
