About what? The intent of the rule? That's your opinion, Slappy.

I haven't seen Griz fans this happy since the Big 3 graduated.

I didn't give a crap what he did. Either way, still his choice. We have a whole new team so I doubt we would have beat him this year. Doesn't matter now though. This first game though will be funny as hell. :thumb:

You are still in my top 8 of EWU posters. I only have 8 to choose from though.

I'm pretty sure he was told he lost the starting job after spring ball. Also FCS-FBS.
You're right, and after looking into it, it's a way different situation than one I think RW put himself into.

However, I don't think it really matters to me about the FBS-FCS distinction. If Adams were instead playing for a team like Bowling Green or UTSA, and Oregon came calling, I'd feel the same way. He's going to graduate, so I don't think the fact that he's FCS really matters. :twocents:

I am not thrilled with his decision. Outside of Navy and North Texas (and in THAT case only because their OC is my former position coach at UOP), I DESPISE FBS and all it stands for, particularly the P5. Sure, life will be easier for the rest of us in the Big Sky without Adams to kick us around anymore, but that doesn't mean all that much since EWU has enough other talent to do that, anyway.

I don't even like free agency in the pro leagues. At the college level, it's absolutely disgusting....

Let's be honest, once he stepped on that plane to go visit Oregon it was all over. Sucks for EWU, but this move is within the rules. I wouldn't be happy if this happened to one of our star players, and I don't think anyone one would be really.

There's gonna be times as a coach, yeah it frustrates you. This is a guy we recruited, this is a guy that we developed. And during that 3-4 years obviously Oregon doesn't feel like they've recruited or developed a guy to the same level that we have here in Cheney, Washington. So I'll be honest with you, that can be a little bit frustrating, and I would have to ask the question, because I don't see myself finding my next QB at Linfield.

NC State's HC Tom O'Brien essentially told Russ to choose: play spring ball, or leave. NC State is FBS, not FCS. Lastly, NC State and Wisconsin didn't play each other in 2012.

I'm too lazy to click that link, but O'Brien also had QB Mike Glennon waiting for his shot (he was the 3rd QB taken -73rd pick- in the 2013 NFL draft).

Russell Wilson was the 75th pick in the 2012 draft :D

And what has Glennon done? Clearly not a wise decision. The point being, Wilson's exodus from NC State was more O'Brien pushing him away, instead of Wilson trying to get away, which is very dissimilar to the VA situation.

NC State doesn't care about what they do in the pros, Glennon put up better numbers than Wilson at NC State

Wilson -3 years starting

1180 att
57.7%
8,545 yards
76 TD
26 INT
83.04 Rating
6.4 TD%

Glennon - 2 years starting
26 games
613 comp
1,017 att
60.3%
7,085 yards
62 TD
29 INT
139.7 Rating
6.9 TD %

Except for the fact your stats are off, especially regarding QB rating.

Factor in Russell's rushing yards and TDs, and one of the most important stats, TD/INT ratio, and it's not even close.

Well...Good luck to both Wilson and Glennon. They both seem like they are happy with where they are going to school this year.

To me, you have to be a prick to do something like he's done with that dancing crap he does at the beginning of games. I'm sorry, but that does provide insight into what somebody's like. Only a dick would do that.

You don't have to meet someone in order to see how they conduct themselves. And we got to see how he conducts himself every time he did that. If you act like a prick like that, chances are pretty good you're a prick.

So you equate modern athletes on-field persona to personality traits?

Btw, I bet if you and I were to ever meet in person, we'd get along quite well. :thumb:
