I'm in an industry that uses string trimmers. No professionals call them weed whackers...except maybe bandleader.

So in a nutshell (as so clearly demonstrated in this thread in short order)-

Conservatives like skilled immigrants who contribute, but take others' jobs because they are paid less.

Liberals like unskilled immigrants who immediately become public charges on entry to the US, and contribute nothing. Well, other than their votes for the Democratic Party, they contribute nothing.

I'm anti immigration and think we need to protect the borders to a much greater degree…unlike conservative illegal employers.

Just called it a trimmer, and still do.

I get the same thing when I Google weed whacker...
