Really..?
Because I live in Redmond - the land of Liberals - and I'm within 5 miles of an indoor shooting range and at least a half dozen places I can by a myriad of guns today right now (this very moment)

:coffee: I think you're confused

Or you must live somewhere where your rights are being restricted..?

Remember when everyone freaked out that Obama was going to take guns away, dealers hiked up their prices to ridiculous levels, and yet the American people still paid a stupid amount of money for them? Yet nothing's happened and now there's a surplus of firearms available. As the famous saying goes, "No one ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American people."

"He's coming after your guns"
So if I yell that louder doesn't that make it true..?

I realize you were still studying, going to frat parties and jacking off 9 times a day back in 2010, but if you review that election cycle you'll find voters threw out the Democrats and gun control politicians, which neutered Obama's gun confiscation program.

Up to that point, BATF had begun instituting registration lists and in the N.E. states (NY & MD to be specific), had begun doing search warrants and "knock and talks" looking for guns.

Do your homework.

I was referring to 2013. I remember it clearly 'cause I was out of a) out of college, b) working, c) and it only happened two years ago. Sales were level until 2012 (post-Obama re-election freak out) and really spiked in 2013 (post-Sandy Hook freak out).

Gun confiscation hysteria provides a very solid boost to our economy. Any sign of an impending Republican takeover of the WH next term will severely depress our sporting goods industry to the point they will have to start a new war to make up for it. Meanwhile nobody notices GOP sticky fingers getting into our banking industry and retirement accounts under the guise of "de-regulation."

As long as the government stays away from out guns they can fu*k up wars and banks, I dont care about that.

We can always fix those problems with guns.

You really hate it when people have opposing ideas. You get so petty so quick.
Like Trip said, this was in 2013 and it was a boon for the firearms sellers. But if anyone honestly believed that Obama was going to violate the 2nd amendment, then they were just irrational people. We have to think rationally, we have to stop using emotions. Obama never said he was going to take away people guns, and if he did I don't remember it being in the news.
