A Couple of my relatives work at the local Koch refinery. Most of that oil is sandy Canadian Oil that they pay $18 a barrel for. They pay good wages and have nice benefits under the Union contracts.

Damn, my friend in TX just posted that he was let go of his job at Schlumberger because of restructuring due to the oil price decrease. He had a pretty technical and specialized position too.

The sad thing is that he just bought a new home and car about 6-8 months ago.
