In that case you could at least put a thong on those chin nuts.

We'll see about that after EWU wins the Chipper....

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

You have no idea how much I hate our mascot. But that logo is better than the previous one:

To me, if you're just a neutral fan wanting to see the most intriguing game among the quarterfinals that's obviously the one.

I mean, if Eastern Washington beats Illinois State, is that a big deal? Or visa versa. If Illinois State beats Eastern Washington it's kind of like: So what? I mean, it'd great for Illinois State fans but otherwise it's no big deal.

:suspicious: It would be a big deal for Illinois State to make it to the semis IMO (haven't been since 1999) and I'm sure a lot of people think this is the hardest game to call (this is the 4 vs 5 game). If NDSU wins... talk about "not a big deal".

What makes it particularly interesting going in to me is that North Dakota State, while very good, is obviously vulnerable this year and it's about time to recognize that Coastal Carolina is very good. Yes they lost to Liberty at the end of the season in a tight game but at this point I think we can all agree that Liberty showed they were no cupcake.

Frankly, at this point, I think Coastal Carolina is a tougher opponent than whoever North Dakota State is going to see in the semifinal if they do win the game. I think it's a close call between them and Villanova. But I honestly do think Coastal Carolina is a little better than Villanova.

And they've been to the Fargo Dome before. They got clubbed. But most of the players on that team experienced it.

Troll...not gonna bite.
That was not a troll. It's what I honestly think. For instance: You know I believe power ratings such as Sagarin's are a pretty good gauge. I defend them all the time. Well, the difference between the average power rating of MVC teams and the average power rating of Big Sky teams is 17 points. The difference between the SEC and the Mountain West averages is 18 points. Very comparable.

I believe the MVC was a MUCH tougher conference than the Big Sky was this year. I do not think Eastern Washington faced the kind of week in, week out competition that Illinois State did.

Doesn't mean I don't think Eastern Washington can win. But it IS, to me, one of those kinds of games. Illinois State is the more battle tested team. They didn't play anybody like Washington but they faced tougher competition week by week once they got into conference play.
