You might want to go over to Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, southern Thailand, and about 85% of China and take a look, D. Maybe even talk to some of the people there.

Asians are some of the most racist people on the earth towards each other. The Chinese and the Japanese think each other are inferior, and the Koreans have their own hang ups. They all look down on the SE Asians, and over history they have acted on thes prejudices in ways much more barbaric than anything done to blacks on such a scale in the US. The Japanese alone starved over one million Vietnamese to death in just a 3 year period during WWII. The Chinese Cultural Revolution (a class and ethnic war at its root) killed more Chinese than any estimate of US blacks killed as a result of official discrimination in our own history. Starvation by neglect is the number one national sport in Asian history and it has killed more Asians than the entire population of blacks that have ever lived in North America.

To this day, the Vietnamese government has an offcial policy of mistreatment towards Khmer minorities in the south, and Hmong Montagnard minorities in the highlands. These people have no rights, and live in the most squalid conditions imaginable.

IN all of these cases, this mistreatment is justified through the old Confucian paternalistic culture of face, and it has been that way for literally thousands of years, thousands of years before the first sub-Saharan African ever even SAW a white man. Racist nomenclature is perfectly acceptable in most Asian cultures. "Gaijin" is the Japanese word for barbarian, and the literal meaning is "Not Japanese". The Chinese have it in "yi" meaning wild outsiders, to differentiate between the ethnic Han and Chinese minorities. The Vietnamese brought the same culture with them when they split off from China a couple thousand years ago and you could fill a whole dictionary of Vietnamese words that describe the superiority of the ethnic Viets over the Hmaong, Khmer, and maritime SE Asian minority cultures.

Blacks in America have had it bad- there's no doubt about that. But it would probably be best to avoid trying to compare their condition to the conditions of other minorities in what makes up about 85% of the rest of the world. Asians are an especially bad example to use when trying to describe how badly Africans have had it.
Again apples and oranges. Asians were and are not targets of hate in America.

Stop it already, you're hurting my head with your ignorance of American History (or Western Hemisphere at least). No one's going to argue that Asians and Blacks had the same experience starting in America - clearly only Blacks were objects of out an out slavery. But Asians were substantially abused in the 1800's as part of the "coolie" trade following the abolition of actual slavery and the need to find and import cheap labor. And Asians weren't targets of hate in America? What were the Rock Springs Massacre and the Chinese Massacre of 1871? Were they made up? The Chinese Exclusion Act of 1882 is hardly a federal law expressing admiration for Asian folks, and the whole term "Yellow Peril" was not some type of urinary disfunction.

I understand that basic elementary school history text books don't go into too much detail, so that's probably why your knowledge of history is cursory at best, but do try to refrain from making profound announcments on things you have little knowledge of, just sayin'. :thumb:

Yeah, they make such poor parents...and are weak excuses for being real Americans.

What they need to do is destroy their own neighborhoods and turn down their academic successes so that the media will fawn all over them and Whites will feel guilty enough to demand more money to be put into their failing schools.

We're all aware of past poor treatment of various races, including whites. That LSD1990 equates the experiences of Asians to blacks in America is unconscionable. That it still exists with black people, albeit much less so now, is further proof of the unique magnitude of the dehumanization.

We get it, D.

300 years of mistreatment and chattel slavery has adversely affected blacks to a much higher degree than 2000 years of subjugation at the hands of the Han Chinese has affected the Vietnamese.

I am thinking that by your reasoning that the absolute dysfunction in West Africa actually is NOT due to colonialism, because after all...

it didnt happen in America

Lets face it- Africans in America are ignoring ... no.... REJECTING the opportunities that are available to them in America.

To me you don't even need to necessarily compare Blacks to Asians to see the fallacy of a lot of the egalitarian tripe that serves as the conventional wisdom nowadays. All you need to do is compare Asians to Whites.

They say that Whites in the United States have an advantage on IQ tests because the tests are cultural bias. Never mind that a lot of effort has been devoted to removing cultural bias or that culture does not play a role in the non verbal components of the tests. That's the excuse.

But Asians with very different cultural backgrounds than Whites score higher than Whites on the tests. Should make ANY reasonable person call the "cultural bias" thing into question.

And they say that Whites have an advantage because of White Privilege. That's why other groups don't do as well. Yet Asians have a higher median income than Whites do. Again, it really calls the idea that "White Privilege" is THAT big of a factor into question.
Well, I believe that I must tell the truth

Apples and oranges. My argument deals with the American experience.

Agree AA's are rejecting opportunities.
