The FORTRAN I did in school was well after the punch-card era. Basically a mix between Basic and Pascal. I've seen movies with guys programming with punch cards. How old are you guys?CAA Flagship wrote:Why do you hate FORTRAN?GannonFan wrote:

My grandfather, who had a Democrat on the Sussex County Council who was very "friendly" toward his business, used to fire up his dump body International truck and we'd run down to where the niggras lived. He'd hand a pint of whiskey to any who'd get in the truck and go down to the polling place and vote for his guy. We made several trips with truckloads of brothers on election day.

My freshman year was the last year with punch cards at UD. Actually after the fall semester. 1985GannonFan wrote:The FORTRAN I did in school was well after the punch-card era. Re: Bad voting machines
Yeah, no punchcards when I took FORTRAN at UD Fall 89. You programmed, sent it to the compiler, then picked up your output printout in the basement at Smith.89Hen wrote:My freshman year was the last year with punch cards at UD. Actually after the fall semester. 1985GannonFan wrote:

Punchcard FORTRAN was in Townsend. Bet you didn't even have a class there.93henfan wrote:Yeah, no punchcards when I took FORTRAN at UD Fall 89. Wasn't that where the animal science majors put on arm length gloves and had anal fisting sessions with the cows?89Hen wrote:Punchcard FORTRAN was in Townsend. Bet you didn't even have a class there.93henfan wrote:

In his defense, when I re-read what I wrote, it didn't come out as clear as I would like. But I was too lazy to go back and reword it, being Friday and all. It's all good.Ibanez wrote:Like usual, you missed his joke.CitadelGrad wrote:
