You telling me that we are going to have to wait 3 more freaking YEARS to see these two teams play???As we reported in February, O'Day has been involved in serious nonconference scheduling talks with Football Championship Subdivision powers such as Appalachian State since December.
The A.D. confirmed on Thursday that the Grizzlies are close to striking a couple of intriguing deals, one with the Mountaineers and another with a separate FCS stalwart.
"It looks very, very promising," O'Day said. "It's going to be a few years before we can pull it off. It appears 2012 and '13 is what we're looking at. And we're also looking at another partner in it, that being McNeese State. And that looks like it could be 2016- 17."
