SCOTUS Allows Texas Voter I.D. Law
In rare Saturday release, SCOTUS reverses District Judge opinion clearing way for Texas Voter I.D. law. Ginsburg pens dissent accompanied by Sotomayor and Kagan...principally claiming cost of obtaining I.D. created unreasonable impediment for voters.

ID card to vote - protecting out freedoms.
ID card at gun show - attacking our freedoms.
Got it.
Funny, I had to show an ID to register to vote, just like everybody else. That's why voter fraud occurs once in 14.6 million votes.
This is just one example of the to-the-bone stupidity of Texans and why god has judged them with ebola.
We should pay Mexico to take Texas back.

I don't see a problem with requiring someone to show ID in order to purchase a gun at a gun show.houndawg wrote:ID card to vote - protecting out freedoms.

With that said, owning a firearm is an enumerated right in the Constitution. Voting isn't.

I have to show my ID to register and again to vote. You need an ID for almost everything these days. You need them to work, pick up mail, using a CC, getting your check cashed at Wal-Mart....... I really don't see the problem.

If I buy a gun at a gun show they do a background search using my ID. I don't see how attaining an ID is some sort of right wing attempt at minimizing minority voting participation. You need some sort of ID to get through most of your life. Getting an ID sucks, but the DMV is equally inefficient regardless of race.

You know, the whole idea of fraud is to keep the fraud a secret. If 2068 cases have been documented, you can be sure the incidence is much higher.Skjellyfetti wrote:2,068 cases of voter fraud since 2000.

I suppose when black precincts in Philadelphia have 100% + voter turnout, there is no reason to suspect fraud. No reason to suspect fraud when Ohio Democrats are busing non-English speaking Somalis to polling stations and telling them to vote Democrat. It's all good when Democrats in north St. Louis bus blacks from polling station to polling station throughout the night and some say they voted several times when interviewed by local tv stations.

But if you counted the speeders out of a sample of those that were paid to drive, and counted the Democratic votes out of those who were paid to vote, you would find that those paid voters committed fraud.Skjellyfetti wrote:Y'all say that voter fraud is a problem.BDKJMU wrote: Documented..![]()

If voter fraud isn't a problem, the you shouldn't be objecting to voter I.D.laws. The only logical reason to oppose would be to facilitate voter fraud. I'm sure that isn't your intent, is it, Jellydonut?Skjellyfetti wrote:Y'all say that voter fraud is a problem.BDKJMU wrote: Documented..![]()

We should have photo ID in order to vote. Give everyone 1 year to get a photo ID, that gives them plenty of time to get it done.
