Big Sky Predictions - Week 8

Post by Mvemjsunpx »

NoCo 24-38 EWUGood thing the Eagles have a running game now, because NoCo's INT numbers are crazy

NAU 31-27 Portland St. — Sounds like Cartwright will start, plus PSU still seems lost

Cal Poly 35-42 Sac StateBoth teams have weak pass D, but only one of them is a passing team

Southern Utah 31-49 Idaho St.James Cowser can't win games by himself

Davis 17-45 MontanaThe Griz begin their defenseless back half of the schedule

Weber 28-55 Montana St.Bobcat fans riot in disgust after their team fails to break 70 again

UNC at EWU - EWU rolls, and UNC is still...well UNC.

NAU at PSU - PSU shockingly wins at home.

CP at Sac State - I have no faith in our defense to stop anyone, but I'm going with a homer pick anyways. Hornets win a close one.

SUU at ISU - ISU rolls at home.

cal davis at UM - UM steamrolls ucd.

WSU at MSU - MSU steamrolls the Cats.

This is the first week I picked all home teams to win...maybe I should rethink a couple of the picks. :?

Most of SD's picks look like locks. I have questions about ISU keeping up the pace they've set lately, particularly against a foe like SUU, which can cause ANYONE problems, even if they don't always get over the hump. This is the time of year where we'll find out if they're up to the challenge or just a pretender....

Having played both, ISU is going kick the crap out of SUU.

52-11 so far for the year. My hope for perfection

CP at SAC---After a slow start, the Mustangs have figured out to win. The Hornets, it seems, find ways to come out on the short end. Hopefully they can build on their win last week at Northern Colorado...SAC 42, CP 35.

NAU at PSU---The Lumberjacks took two weeks to try to figure out what happened at Northern Colorado. The Vikings only had one week to figure out what happened at North Dakota. Two weeks is better...NAU 25, PSU 21.

UNC at EWU---The Bears are looking better, beating Northern Arizona and falling just short of Sacramento State. The Eagles, still without their quarterback, looked great against Southern Utah...EWU 45, UNC 21.

SUU at ISU---The Thunderbirds, playing for pride and spoiler, try to upend the upstart Bengals, who have been looking really great. The Thunderbirds will destroy someone's season, just not the Bengals...ISU 38, SUU 35.

UCD at UM---The Aggies may not give up 77 points like they did last week against Montana State, but playing Montana at their house when you are not that good does not bode well for you...UM 56, UCD 27.

WSU at MSU---The Wildcats may stay close to the Bobcats because they have shown that they can stay close, but just can't get a win. The Bobcats, however, just keep rolling along...MSU 56, WSU 30.

There is absolutely no possible way the Grizzlies score 56. None. Zero. Zip. Nada.

MAX would be about 38. Then again, I don't see any conceivable scenario where they give up 27 either...you may have the SPREAD right, but I think 38-13 or something to that effect.

Is that because the Griz don't have the ability to score 56, or because the staff will shut it down at some point?

Griz scored 38 on NoCo's D and their D is better than Davis's.

Last week, the Aggie defense looked like they'd never played football before.

Against an offense that brings a hell of a lot more to the table than the Griz do.

Maybe, but I saw many plays where receivers & running backs were basically uncovered. Not to mention that MSU scored 20 more points against Davis than they did against one of the worst defenses in Division II.

Could it be that...and I know this is hard to wrap your head around....the Bobcats Offense is getting better each week? I know most teams play there best football game of the year in week 1 or 2... but maybe, just maybe, they are improving with practice, reps in games, and growing as a team.

So that means you're going to score 200 on us, right?

God you people are slow...The Cats (as you well know) crap down their legs in November, so we will keep scoring big until the Griz game, and then blow is by only scoring 17 points. The griz, on the other hand, will somehow score 40 points that game and then lose in the first round of the playoffs.

5-1 for the week, missed Cal Poly. 57-12 for the year.
