Ugh, weak slate again this week.
I-AA Game of the Week - WEEK 6
Re: I-AA Game of the Week - WEEK 6
I picked El Cid and here is why: El Cid beat the team that beat Wofford. I like the consequences of that.
Turns out I might be a little gay. 89Hen 11/7/17

Citadel needs this win. They havent beat wofford in a long time and a win over them could jump start them from a bad start.Ibanez wrote:I picked El Cid and here is why: El Cid beat the team that beat Wofford. I like the consequences of that.

I went with South Dakota State at Illinois State. MVFC is going to be a CF (in a good way).

I want to see how good Indiana St is, and UNI at home will be a good test. We'll see how good South Dakota is this weekend when they host SIU. Too many good Valley games to choose from.89Hen wrote:I went with South Dakota State at Illinois State. MVFC is going to be a CF (in a good way).

It's a make or break game for both teams it deserves a spot on this poll

Please keep them. We've had to play them (3 times I think) and never bested them.
This gives me an idea for another thread.

You guys are missin' the resurgent Missouri State story. 3-1 to start for one of the very few times in program history. Lame duck coach with no contract for next year. Couldn't scrape up $100,000 in the community or among alumni to buy him out. Can he keep winning and get a couple more years? Drama in Springfield!

I don't think we couldn't come up with the money but decided he'd probably be done after this year anyways.Cap'n Cat wrote:You guys are missin' the resurgent Missouri State story. 3-1 to start for one of the very few times in program history. But now we have this new, unexperienced situation that could change everything.

I didn't know the stuff about the coach but I picked that game because they look pretty good to me. Only loss was a pretty good effort against Oklahoma State. I think they may be a sleeper but I guess we'll find out starting this week.Cap'n Cat wrote:You guys are missin' the resurgent Missouri State story. 3-1 to start for one of the very few times in program history. Well, I believe that I must tell the truth
And say things as they really are
But if I told the truth and nothing but the truth
Could I ever be a star?

I'm STILL mad that SW MO State beat UOP in the CIT Finals a few years back. Ugh....

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

There are several other rebuilds that took that long or longer, Duo. The one that comes to mind is that McCartney character at Colorado. Though there was a Jesus circus around him for the time he was there, he did turn it around after about 10 years working at it.MSUDuo wrote:I don't think we couldn't come up with the money but decided he'd probably be done after this year anyways.Cap'n Cat wrote:You guys are missin' the resurgent Missouri State story. 3-1 to start for one of the very few times in program history. Such lengthy turnarounds are non-existent anymore in DI, given our immediate gratification culture. I'm a fan of TA, having worked for him, but, even if he goes 8-3, I don't think he survives.

You will never know what a good is unless you have experienced a bad day
